Nirma BTech 2026-27: Apply for admission per ACPC/AICTE norms

Nirma University in Ahmedabad today, 29 October 2026, released the B.Tech fee structure and detailed admission process for the 2026-27 admission cycle. The announcement aims to provide prospective candidates with thorough information regarding fees, eligibility criteria, and admission procedures for its undergraduate engineering programs.

The university offers admissions across various categories, including All India (National), NRI, and NRI-Sponsored, each with distinct requirements. The admission process is structured to ensure fair evaluation and maintain academic standards, aligning with guidelines from authorities such as the Admission Committee for Professional Courses (ACPC) and the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE).

B.Tech Admission Categories and Eligibility Criteria

Nirma University’s B.Tech programs admit candidates through three main categories: All India (National), NRI, and NRI-Sponsored. National candidates for B.Tech (UG) must have cleared their 12th standard from the Science stream with minimum marks approved by ACPC/AICTE and possess qualifying marks in JEE (Mains) or GUJCET. For NRI Category candidates, those who completed schooling from Foreign Boards are exempt from JEE (Mains), while those from Indian Boards must appear for JEE (Mains). NRI-Sponsored Category candidates are required to clear 12th from an Indian Board and achieve qualifying marks in JEE (Mains).

For the integrated B.Tech (CSE) + MBA program, candidates need a minimum of 60% in their 12th standard with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics (PCM), along with a qualifying score in JEE (Mains) or GUJCET. NRI-Sponsored Category candidates for this integrated program must also appear in JEE (Mains). Admissions for B.Tech programs are primarily based on scores obtained in GUJCET or JEE (Mains). Candidates interested in the B.Tech CSE + MBA (Integrated) program are also required to appear for a Personal Interview round.

Seat Reservation and FEE Structure Overview

The university has allocated specific percentages of seats for different categories across its B.Tech programs. For standard B.Tech (Undergraduate) programs, 33% of seats are reserved under the State Quota (ACPC), 52% for All India Seats, and 15% for NRI / NRI-Sponsored Seats. The B.Tech (CSE) + MBA integrated program has a different distribution, with 85% of seats allocated for All India candidates and 15% for NRI / NRI-Sponsored candidates.

While the full 2026-27 fee structure for B.Tech programs was not detailed, the 2023-24 fee structure for All India Category Seats (52% of intake) provides a reference. In 2023-24, the semester fee was INR 102,500, with additional fees totaling INR 5,700 and a refundable security deposit of INR 7,000, bringing the total to INR 115,200 per semester. The annual fee for the B.Tech+M.Tech integrated program at the Institute of Management Nirma University is INR 6,04,800.

Admission Process and Scholarship Opportunities

The admission process for B.Tech programs at Nirma University is systematic and involves several key steps. These include Application Submission, appearance in an Entrance Examination (JEE (Mains) or GUJCET), Merit List Release, Document Verification, Fee Payment, and a Counselling Process. The application process will be conducted in accordance with the norms prescribed by ACPC/AICTE. Candidates interested in the integrated B.Tech (CSE) + MBA program must also participate in a Personal Interview round.

Nirma University offers both Merit Scholarship and Merit-cum-Means Scholarship for B.Tech programs. These scholarships are awarded based on a candidate’s academic merit and their rank in the JEE (Mains) examination. In recent years, the university has reported a highest salary package of approximately 50.15 LPA and an average salary package of around 7.50 LPA, with over 190 companies visiting the campus for recruitment.
