HPPSC Assistant Professor admit cards out: download for October 4 and 7 exams

The Himachal Pradesh Public Service Commission (HPPSC) released e-Admit Cards on September 23, 2026, for the Screening Test and Subject Aptitude Test for Assistant Professor (College Cadre) posts. These admit cards are specifically for positions in Hindi, Chemistry, Physical Education, and Music-Instrumental.

Provisionally admitted candidates can access their e-Admit Cards and examination instructions through the Commission’s official website. The examinations are scheduled for October 4, 2026, and October 7, 2026, as per the HPPSC’s consolidated examination schedule.

Examination Schedule and Entry Timings

The Screening Test (Paper-I) and Subject Aptitude Test (Paper-II) for Assistant Professor (College Cadre) Hindi and Chemistry will be conducted on October 4, 2026. The examination for Physical Education and Music-Instrumental is scheduled for October 7, 2026. Candidates are required to reach the examination centre before the specified entry closing time, which is 10:30 AM for Paper-I and 1:30 PM for Paper-II, as entry will close exactly 30 minutes before each paper.

Admit Card Download and Verification

Candidates whose applications have been provisionally accepted can download their e-Admit Cards through the HPPSC recruitment portal. To access the document, candidates need to enter their User ID, Password, and the security Captcha code. The HPPSC stated that e-Admit Cards and candidate instructions have been uploaded on its website, and provisionally admitted candidates have been informed via SMS and email using the contact details provided in their online recruitment applications.

After downloading the hall ticket, candidates should carefully check their name, photograph, Roll Number or User ID, subject, examination schedule, examination centre address, and all instructions. It is mandatory for candidates to carry the required documents and a clear copy of the admit card to the examination centre.

Recruitment Overview and Emoluments

This recruitment drive covers a total of 410 Assistant Professor posts. This includes 373 posts within the Higher Education Wing across 23 traditional college cadre subjects and an additional 37 posts in the Medical Education Wing, covering clinical and super-speciality disciplines. The largest vacancy clusters are for English with 39 posts, Chemistry and Hindi with 34 posts each, and Mathematics and Physics with 25 posts each.

The monthly emolument for these positions is Rs 35,000, offered under the Group-A Job Trainee framework. The selection process for these Assistant Professor posts comprises a Screening Test and Subject Aptitude Test, which will be followed by a Personality Test.
