MCC NEET counselling 2026 round 3 allotment result out today

The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC), operating under the Directorate General of Health Services, Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India, has released the NEET Counselling 2026 Round 3 Allotment Result today, 29 September 2026. Candidates can access the result on the official website, mcc.nic.in.

This release follows the publication of newly added seats and vacancy lists for Round 3, covering MBBS, BDS, and B.Sc Nursing courses. The online counselling process is conducted for various undergraduate medical and dental seats across India.

NEET UG Counselling 2026 Key Releases

The MCC has systematically released several important updates throughout the NEET UG Counselling 2026 process. These include the Final Allotment Result for Round 1, followed by the Final Result for UG Round 2 Counselling on 12 September 2026. For Round 3, specific lists detailing newly added seats, virtual vacancies, and clear vacancies for MBBS, BDS, and B.Sc Nursing have been made available.

Similar vacancy and newly added seat lists were also issued for Round 2 of the counselling. The committee also released the Seat Matrix for NEET UG MBBS, BDS, and B.Sc Nursing Round 1, and a Public Notice regarding the eligibility of NRI candidature for the Academic Year 2026-27.

Scope of MCC NEET Counselling

The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC), on behalf of the Directorate General of Health Services, Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, is doing conducting online counselling for various medical and dental seats. This includes 15% All India Quota (AIQ) seats for undergraduate courses, 50% AIQ seats for postgraduate courses, and 100% seats in Super-specialty courses (DM/Mch).

The counselling process extends to Institutional Quota and Domicile (internal candidates) seats of Central Universities such as Aligarh Muslim University, Banaras Hindu University, University of Delhi, and Faculty of Dentistry, Jamia Millia Islamia, Delhi. Also, it covers wards of ESIC insured persons seats in colleges under the Employee State Insurance Corporation and Armed Forces Medical College, Pune, for the undergraduate session 2023-24.

Regulatory Framework for Counselling

The online counselling process conducted by the MCC is in compliance with directives from the Hon’ble Supreme Court of India. These include orders dated 23 March 2012 (I.A No. 16/2012 in Civil Appeal No. 1944 of 1993 – Anand S.Biji Vs State of Kerala & Others) and 09 May 2017 (Writ Petition© No.267 of 2017 –Dar-Us-Slam Educational Trust & Ors Vs MCI & Ors). These legal precedents guide the framework for seat allocation in medical and dental institutions across the country.
