TN NEET UG: Fill choices for Round 3 by October 9, 2 PM

The Directorate of Medical Education and Research Chennai released the Tamil Nadu NEET UG Seat Matrix 2026 for Round 3 on September 30, 2026. This release provides candidates with college-wise vacant MBBS and BDS seats available for admission across Tamil Nadu.

Candidates participating in the Tamil Nadu NEET UG Counselling 2026 are now able to view the vacant seat list to inform their choice-filling process for Round 3. The choice-filling window for this round is set to open on October 1, 2026.

Tamil Nadu NEET UG Round 3 Seat Matrix and Schedule

The Tamil Nadu NEET UG Seat Matrix 2026 for Round 3, released by the Directorate of Medical Education and Research Chennai, lists vacant MBBS and BDS seats college-wise. Candidates can access this information, including the seat intake for BDS courses, on the official portal tnmedicalselection.net. The TENTATIVE VACANCY POSITION FOR MBBS/BDS DEGREE COURSE 2026-2027 IN (7.5% RESERVATION) was updated on September 30, 2026, while the TENTATIVE VACANCY POSITION FOR MBBS/BDS DEGREE COURSE 2026-2027 IN (92.5% RESERVATION) was updated on September 29, 2026.

The choice-filling process for Round 3 is scheduled to take place between October 1 and October 9, 2026. Candidates must complete and lock their choices by 2 PM on October 9, 2026. The Tamil Nadu NEET Round 3 Seat Allotment Result is scheduled to be released on October 12, 2026, with only successfully enrolled students being eligible for these results.

MCC Clear VACANCY Round 3 Details

Concurrently, the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) has also released the Clear Vacancy Round 3 seat matrix for NEET UG Counselling 2026. This matrix covers MBBS, BDS, and B.Sc. Nursing courses across various participating institutes. The official MCC notification indicates a total of 6585 clear vacancy seats available.

The MCC Clear Vacancy Round 3 matrix provides detailed information including State Name, Institute Type, Institute Name, Quota, Branch, Category, Total Seats, and Seat Gender. The MCC notification for NEET UG Counselling 2026 seat matrix verification was dated August 5, 2026, with colleges and institutes requested to verify the correctness of the Tentative/Provisional vacancy position before 4:00 P.M. on that date.

Previous Counselling Rounds and Key Dates

The Tamil Nadu NEET UG Counselling 2026 process has been ongoing, with previous rounds already concluded. The Tamil Nadu NEET UG Counselling 2026 Merit List was expected to be released between August 13 and 22, 2026. Round 2 Counselling for Tamil Nadu NEET UG took place from August 31 to September 8, 2026. The Round 2 seat matrix for MBBS and BDS admissions was released, with the choice filling deadline for Round 2 being September 13, 2026, at 2 PM. The Round 2 seat allotment result was published on September 15, 2026, and candidates had until September 18, 2026, to download allotment orders and join their allotted colleges. Round 3 Counselling for Tamil Nadu NEET UG was from September 16 to 26, 2026.
