CUSAT MBA Admissions 2026: Second Real-Time Admission Round on July 17; Check Crucial Reporting Details Here

The Cochin University of Science and Technology (CUSAT) is set to conduct its Second Real-Time Admission round for MBA programs tomorrow, July 17, 2026. Candidates who are looking to secure a seat in the prestigious School of Management Studies (SMS) at CUSAT can participate in this spot counseling process.

The university has published the official notification, seat matrix, and detailed instructions on its official admissions portal: admissions.cusat.ac.in.

This real-time admission round is a golden opportunity for management aspirants who missed out on the previous allotment lists or those who want to upgrade their current seat allocations. Because seats are limited and allotted on a first-come, first-served basis according to rank merit, candidates must strictly follow the reporting schedule.

What is CUSAT Real-Time Admission?

Real-time admission, often referred to as spot admission, is a process where vacant seats in various categories (General, Keralite, Non-Keralite, and reserved categories) are filled directly on campus.

During this round, candidates register their presence in person. The university then prepares a dynamic merit list of the present candidates and allots seats instantly. If a candidate is offered a seat, they must pay the admission fees immediately to secure their admission.

Key Dates and Reporting Schedule

Candidates planning to attend the counseling must note the following schedule carefully:

  • Date of Counseling: July 17, 2026

  • Reporting and Registration Time: 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM (No candidate will be allowed to register after the deadline)

  • Allotment Process Begins: 11:30 AM onwards

  • Venue: School of Management Studies (SMS), CUSAT Main Campus, Kalamassery, Kochi – 682022

Important Note: Merely reporting for the real-time admission round does not guarantee a seat. Seats will be distributed strictly based on the CUSAT MBA rank list of the candidates who physically present themselves and register during the designated reporting window.

Eligibility Criteria

To participate in the second real-time admission round, candidates must meet the following criteria:

  • Must have a valid score in management entrance exams such as CAT (IIM), KMAT, or CMAT.

  • Must have already registered for the CUSAT MBA admission process 2026.

  • Candidates who have already taken admission in previous rounds but want to slide/upgrade to a preferred branch or category are also eligible to participate, subject to vacant seat availability.

Essential Documents for Verification

Candidates must carry all their original documents along with at least two sets of self-attested photocopies. Failure to produce any of the required documents will lead to immediate cancellation of their candidature.

  • CUSAT MBA 2026 Admit Card and Confirmation Page

  • Scorecard of CAT, KMAT, or CMAT

  • Class 10 and Class 12 Marksheets and Passing Certificates

  • Qualifying Degree Certificate and Consolidated Marksheets

  • Transfer Certificate (TC) and Conduct Certificate from the last attended institution

  • Migration Certificate (for candidates from universities other than CUSAT)

  • Category/Caste Certificate (for SC/ST/OBC/EWS candidates seeking reservation benefits)

  • Kerala Status Proof (such as Nativity Certificate, if applicable)

  • Four recent passport-sized photographs

Fee Payment Details

If you are allotted a seat, you must pay the prescribed semester and admission fees on the spot. CUSAT generally accepts payments via digital modes (debit cards, credit cards, or net banking).

Candidates are highly advised to ensure that their bank cards have sufficient daily transaction limits to cover the MBA program fees, which can range from ₹25,000 to ₹35,000 for the first semester, depending on the specific category and seat type (State Merit vs. All India Merit).

For any sudden updates or changes in the vacant seat matrix, candidates should keep a close eye on the official CUSAT admissions page, admissions.cusat.ac.in, before heading to the campus tomorrow.
