The Indian Institute of Management Bangalore (IIMB) has initiated the second round of admissions for its Executive Post Graduate Programme (EPGP) 2027-28. Aspiring candidates can submit their applications online via the official portal, iimb.ac.in, for the one-year full-time residential MBA program designed for experienced professionals.

The application window for Round 2 commenced on August 19, 2026, and will remain open until November 25, 2026, at 5:00 p.m. IST. This round provides a second opportunity for applicants following the conclusion of Round 1, which saw offers and waitlist releases on September 21, 2026.

EPGP 2027-28 Application Process and Key Dates

The application fee for Round 2 is INR 7,000. Following the application deadline, shortlisted candidates will be invited for personal interviews, which are scheduled for December 12-13, 2026. IIM Bangalore has stated that all dates are subject to change if required.

Offers and waitlist decisions for Round 2 will be released on December 24, 2026. Successful applicants must accept their offers by January 4, 2027, with the final date for withdrawal set for January 14, 2027. Interviews will be conducted in Bangalore, New Delhi, Mumbai, and Kolkata, while online interviews will be arranged for international applicants.

Eligibility Criteria and Selection Process

Applicants for the EPGP 2027-28 batch must hold a Bachelor’s degree in any discipline with a minimum of 50% marks or an equivalent CGPA. A relaxation to 45% marks is provided for candidates belonging to the SC, ST, and PwD categories. A crucial requirement is a minimum of five years of full-time work experience as of March 31, 2027, acquired post the completion of their Bachelor’s degree.

A valid GMAT or GRE score is mandatory, and the score must be valid on the last date of application submission for the respective round. IIM Bangalore has specified that online GMAT/GRE scores (exams taken at home) will not be accepted for EPGP 2027. The IIMB EPGP code for GMAT is Q9H-KK-84 and for GRE is 1675. In addition, two online reference letters are mandatory and must be submitted by the referees before the application due date. Final selection will consider academic track record, GMAT/GRE scores, quality of work experience, performance in a writing ability test, and the personal interview. Candidates are permitted to submit only one application per admission cycle.

Program Overview and Rankings

The EPGP is a one-year full-time residential MBA program that awards a full Master of Business Administration degree. The total program fee for the 2025-26 batch, including IIMB hostel accommodation, was ₹33,71,000. For those opting for off-campus family housing, the fee was ₹36,62,000. The program is AACSB accredited.

The IIMB EPGP is globally recognized, ranked #34 by the Financial Times 2026 and #3 globally for career progress. The Class of 2025 comprised 73 students, with an average GMAT score of 698 and an average of 7 years of work experience. This class also included 26% of students with international experience. The mean Cost to Company (CTC) for the Class of 2025 was ₹35.5 LPA, reflecting a 165% salary increase verified by the Financial Times.
