AP LAWCET CAP 1 counselling registration closes tomorrow, September 29

The Andhra Pradesh State Council of Higher Education (APSCHE) announced that the registration window for AP LAWCET CAP 1 counselling for admissions to 3-year LLB, 5-year LLB, and LLM programmes will close tomorrow, September 29, 2026. Qualified candidates must complete their phase 1 counselling registration online.

This phase of counselling is crucial for candidates who appeared for the AP LAWCET 2026 examination, which was conducted by Sri Padmavati Mahila Visvavidyalayam, Tirupati, on May 4, 2026. The counselling process began on September 24, 2026, following the announcement of results on May 18, 2026, and aims to fill approximately 3,000+ seats for 5-year LLB and 5,700+ for 3-year LLB, based on recent cycles.

Registration and Fee Details

Candidates eligible for AP LAWCET CAP 1 counselling must register online through the official portals, cap.apcfss.in or cets.apsche.ap.gov.in, by September 29, 2026. The registration process requires candidates to pay a non-refundable counselling fee, which varies by category.

The counselling registration fee for OC/BC candidates is ₹1,000, while SC/ST candidates are required to pay ₹500. Following successful registration, candidates will be able to proceed with filling their college choices online. This option filling window will remain open until October 2, 2026.

Special Category Verification

Alongside the general registration deadline, special category verification for phase 1 AP LAWCET counselling is also scheduled for September 29, 2026. Candidates falling under special categories must attend physical certificate verification at SRR & CVR Government Degree College (A), Vijayawada.

The physical verification for these candidates was also conducted on September 28, 2026, from 10 AM to 3 PM. It is mandatory for special category candidates to complete this verification process to be considered for admissions under their respective quotas.

AP LAWCET 2026 Examination Timeline

The AP LAWCET 2026 examination cycle commenced with the release of its notification on February 4, 2026. Online applications for the examination began on February 12, 2026, with several deadlines for submission, including those with late fees.

The examination was held on May 4, 2026, and the results were subsequently announced on May 18, 2026. The preliminary key was released on May 7, 2026, with objections accepted until May 9, 2026.
