The Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA) has not yet released the KSET Cut Off 2026 as of today, October 30, 2026. The KEA is expected to announce the subject-wise and category-wise cut-off marks for the Karnataka State Eligibility Test (KSET) after the examination and result declaration.

These cut-off marks will establish the minimum scores candidates must achieve to qualify for Assistant Professor eligibility in universities and colleges across Karnataka. The KSET 2026 examination, which covers 37 subjects, was conducted in an Offline (OMR-based) mode on October 11, 2026.

KSET 2026 Examination Schedule and Updates

The KSET 2026 examination process has seen several key dates leading up to the expected cut-off release. Provisional answer keys for the examination were released on October 12, 2026, followed by revised answer keys on October 23, 2026. While the publication of provisional scores for KSET 2026 was scheduled for October 26, 2026, after 10:30 am, no update regarding their release has been provided by the KEA.

The KSET exam is structured into two papers with a total duration of 3 hours. Paper I consists of 50 questions for 100 marks, while Paper II comprises 100 questions for 200 marks. Each correct answer is awarded 2 marks, and there are no negative marks for incorrect responses.

Minimum Qualifying Marks and Eligibility Criteria

To qualify for Assistant Professor eligibility through KSET 2026, candidates must secure specific minimum aggregate marks across both papers. For General category candidates, a minimum of 40% aggregate marks is required. Candidates belonging to OBC (NCL), SC, ST, PwD, and transgender categories need to achieve a minimum of 35% aggregate marks in both papers.

Beyond these minimum scores, only 6% of the top candidates in each subject will be declared ‘Pass’. The KSET certificate, once obtained, is valid for a lifetime for the position of Assistant Professor in universities and colleges within Karnataka. The KEA considers historical data, including previous year cut-offs, to maintain a fair and balanced cut-off standard, which varies annually based on factors such as subject, reservation category, number of candidates, and paper difficulty.

General 40% aggregate marks are required 40% aggregate marks are required
CAT-I, IIA, IIB, IIIA, IIIB, SC, ST, PWD (VH/PH) 35% aggregate marks are required 35% aggregate marks are required
