B.Tech CSE duration for lateral entry (diploma holders)

Lateral-entry B.Tech CSE takes 3 years (6 semesters) because diploma or B.Sc. students join directly in the second year (third semester). Since these students have already covered the foundational first-year engineering, mathematics and introductory programming subjects, they are exempted from Year 1 and follow the same curriculum as regular students from Semester 3 onward.
