BHU M.V.Sc. Programme: Register by September 27

Admission applications for the Master of Veterinary Science (M.V.Sc.) Programme for the 2026-27 academic session are currently open at various universities across India. Candidates can apply through the online application portals of institutions such as Maharashtra Animal and Fishery Sciences University (MAFSU), Chaudhary Sarwan Kumar Himachal Pradesh Krishi Vishvavidyalaya (CSK HPKV), Banaras Hindu University (BHU), and West Bengal University of Animal and Fishery Sciences (WBUAFS).

The application window for MAFSU opened on August 7, 2026. Banaras Hindu University has set an overall registration deadline of September 27, 2026, for its 2026-27 Academic Cycle, encompassing various postgraduate programs including those in life sciences.

Banaras Hindu University ADMISSION Details and Deadlines

Banaras Hindu University (BHU) has opened its ADMISSION-2026-27 Academic Cycle. For admission to its B.V.Sc. & A.H. program, candidates will be selected based on their NEET-UG 2026 scores. The registration deadline for BHU B.V.Sc. & A.H. is September 20, 2026. For BHU’s PG Programs, specifically M.Sc. in Life Sciences, admissions will be based on GAT-B/CUET-PG 2026 scores, with a registration deadline of July 10, 2026. The university requires candidates to have selected BHU while filling their respective entrance examination forms and to possess a valid registration or application number from these tests.

The registration fee for BHU applicants is ₹900 per program for UR / OBC-NCL / EWS candidates, while SC / ST / PwBD candidates are required to pay ₹450 per program. All admissions at BHU are provisional until the verification of original documents by the university. The university also explicitly states that ragging in any form is strictly prohibited.

Chaudhary Sarwan Kumar Himachal Pradesh Krishi Vishvavidyalaya (CSK HPKV), Palampur, has opened admissions for the 2026-27 academic session, offering various Undergraduate, Masters’, and Doctoral Programmes, including M.V.Sc. programs. The university published an admission notice on July 23, 2026, and a final round of counselling or mop-up round notice for merit-based admission, last updated on September 15, 2026.

Karnataka Veterinary, Animal and Fisheries Sciences University (KVAFSU), Bidar, had its admission portal closed for maintenance on September 13 and 14, 2026, during which the web application was unavailable. KVAFSU also published a calendar of events for admission to B.V.Sc. & A. H., B.Tech (D.Tech), and B.F.Sc. Undergraduate Degree programmes for OCI or PIO/NRI/NRI-C/NRI-S candidates for the 2026-27 academic year. West Bengal University of Animal and Fishery Sciences (WBUAFS) issued a notice on September 17, 2026, for counselling and admission to its D.V.P. Course for the 2026-27 academic session, and a notice on September 11, 2026, for physical reporting of ICAR Nominated Candidates for admission to the B.F.Sc. Degree programme for the same academic year.

Candidate Guidelines and Next Steps

Prospective candidates are advised to ensure they meet the specific eligibility criteria for each university and program. For BHU, it is mandatory to have selected the university during the NEET-UG, GAT-B, CUET-PG, or B.A. B.Ed, 2026 form submission and to have appeared in the relevant entrance examination. Candidates must possess a valid registration or application number from these tests before proceeding with BHU registration.

Applicants should keep scanned copies of essential documents ready, including 10th and 12th marksheets and certificates, all semester/year-wise undergraduate marksheets, graduation degree or provisional certificate (if available), CGPA to percentage conversion certificate (where applicable), and category certificates (SC/ST/OBC-NCL/EWS/PwBD). Those awaiting final results of their qualifying examination must upload a Bona Fide or Appearing Certificate issued by their institution head.
