Bihar NEET UG Round 2 MBBS cutoff 2026 out: download allotment order by 28 September

The Bihar Combined Entrance Competitive Examination Board (BCECEB) today, 25 September 2026, released the Round 2 cutoff for Bihar Undergraduate Medical Admission Counselling (UGMAC) 2026. This cutoff is for MBBS admissions in both government and private medical colleges across Bihar, with candidates now able to check and download the opening and closing ranks from the official website, bceceboard.bihar.gov.in.

The release follows the provisional seat allotment result for UGMAC Round 2, which was published on 24 September 2026. This counselling process supports admissions to over 3,000 MBBS and more than 300 BDS seats under the 85% state quota in Bihar medical colleges, based on NEET UG 2026 scores.

Bihar NEET UG Round 2 Counselling Schedule and Cutoff Details

Candidates who participated in Round 2 of the Bihar NEET UG counselling can now access their provisional allotment orders. The download window for these orders is open from 24 September to 28 September 2026. Following this, document verification and admission procedures for the allotted seats are scheduled from 26 September to 28 September 2026. The BCECEB stated that the actual Bihar NEET Round 2 MBBS cutoff 2026 varies by college, category, quota, seat availability, and candidates’ preferences.

The counselling process, which began with registrations on 5 August 2026, requires candidates to meet the NEET 2026 qualifying cutoff: 50th percentile for General, 40th percentile for SC/ST/OBC, and 45th percentile for PwD. The NEET UG 2026 exam was conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA) on 21 June 2026, with results declared on 16 July 2026.

Understanding Opening and Closing Ranks

The Bihar NEET UG cutoff 2026, released by BCECEB after each counselling round, is defined by opening and closing ranks. The opening rank marks the best NEET All India Rank (AIR) at which a seat was allotted for a specific college, category, and seat type. Conversely, the closing rank represents the last NEET All India Rank at which a seat was allotted under a particular category and quota in that counselling round. Candidates are advised to compare their NEET AIR, rather than just their scores, with the official UGMAC rank data.

Bihar has 13 government MBBS colleges offering 1,645 seats and 12 private medical colleges providing 1,900 MBBS seats. Admissions to these medical and dental programs are based on NEET UG 2026 scores under State, Management, and NRI quotas. The BCECEB has indicated that further information regarding the Round 2 online counselling programme will be provided at a later date, with all other terms and conditions from the earlier UGMAC-2026 counselling advertisement remaining applicable.

Round 1 Allotment Overview

In Round 1 of Bihar NEET UG counselling, a total of 3,574 MBBS seats were allotted. For the Unreserved (UR) category, the overall Round 1 MBBS closing rank was NEET AIR 10,771. The Round 1 seat allotment result was released on 25 August 2026, covering admissions to government and private medical and dental colleges, as well as government veterinary and fisheries institutions in Bihar.

The counselling registration fee for General, BC, and EBS categories is ₹1200, while for SC, ST, and OBC categories, it is ₹600. The Bihar Combined Entrance Competitive Examination Board, constituted under the Bihar Combined Entrance Competitive Examination Act, 1995, is the authority responsible for conducting this counselling.
