CUSB PG paid seats admission 2026-27 process completed, classes began July 16

The Central University of South Bihar (CUSB) has concluded its admission process for Postgraduate (PG) programmes under paid/payment seats for the Academic Year 2026-27. The university granted admission to candidates across 29 PG programmes based on their CUET (PG) 2026 scores, with classes for the new academic year commencing on July 16, 2026.

The admission cycle, which began with online registrations on May 25, 2026, involved multiple rounds of cut-off announcements and fee payments. The university, established under the Central Universities Act, 2009, is accredited with Grade A++ by NAAC and recognized as a Category-I University by UGC.

Admission Timeline and Key Dates

The online registration for CUSB PG Admission 2026 on the SAMARTH Portal commenced on May 25, 2026, and closed on June 8, 2026, at 23:55 IST. A correction window for online registration was also provided on June 9, 2026. The registration fee was ₹500 for General, OBC, and EWS candidates per programme application, and ₹200 for SC, ST, and PwD candidates, which was non-refundable.

The admission process unfolded in several stages, with programme-wise cut-off marks announced for three main rounds. The first round cut-offs were released on June 11, 2026, with fee payment accepted until June 16, 2026. The second round cut-offs were announced on June 23, 2026, with a payment window from June 23 to June 29, 2026. The third round cut-offs were published on July 3, 2026, and candidates could pay the admission fee until July 7, 2026. The final list of admitted students was published on July 9, 2026, followed by physical document verification on July 15, 2026.

Eligibility and Required Documents

Admission to all PG programmes at CUSB was strictly based on the CUET (PG) 2026 score in the relevant Question Paper Code (QP Code). Candidates were required to have appeared in CUET (PG) 2026, conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA), and in the correct QP Code applicable to their chosen programme. The complete programme-wise fee structure was detailed in Annexure-IV of the official CUSB notification.

The registration process mandated the uploading of scanned copies of several documents, including the CUET (PG) 2026 Scorecard, Class 10 and 12 marksheets/certificates, qualifying degree marksheets/certificates, category certificate (if applicable), PwD certificate (if applicable), a photograph, signature, valid Photo ID, Migration Certificate, and an Undertaking for pending documents. Admission was granted strictly in order of merit, subject to eligibility criteria and successful document verification, with incomplete applications not being considered.

The Central University of South Bihar, a public central university, offers 29 PG courses for the 2026-27 academic year, spanning sciences, humanities, social sciences, commerce, law, education, library science, and pharmaceutical sciences.
