The Erasmus+ Mobility Programme supports these international academic exchanges between participating institutions. Selected participants may receive financial support for travel and living expenses, gain international academic experience, and potentially receive academic credits, though funding, eligibility, and benefits depend on the specific agreement and mobility scheme. Selection by Delhi University does not automatically guarantee admission or funding from the host university.

Application and Selection Procedures

The selection process for Erasmus mobility depends on whether the inter-institutional agreement is coordinated by the concerned department or directly by DU’s International Relations (IR) Office. For department-managed Erasmus mobility, departments invite applications from eligible students and PhD scholars. A departmental selection committee, comprising the Head of the Department, a senior eligible faculty member (or former Head), the next faculty as per seniority, a Vice-Chancellor nominated member, and the IQAC Coordinator of the Department, screens and finalizes candidates.

For IR Office-managed Erasmus mobility, application notices are circulated by the IR Office to concerned departments and colleges, and also published on the IR Office website. Applications for IR Office-managed mobility must be forwarded by the Head of the Institution and submitted on or before the specified deadline. Applicants must fulfill prescribed language proficiency requirements.
