Galgotias University Partners with Felix Hospital to Boost Healthcare Education and Student Internships
In a major step toward closing the gap between classroom theory and real-world medical care, Galgotias University has officially signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Felix Hospital, Greater Noida. This strategic partnership aims to transform clinical education, practical skill building, and career readiness for students enrolled in the university’s healthcare programs.
The agreement focuses primarily on two key divisions within the university: the School of Allied Health Sciences (SAHS) and the School of Nursing. Through this collaboration, hundreds of students will gain hands-on clinical exposure, mandatory hospital internships, and direct experience with modern medical technologies at Felix Hospital’s multispecialty facilities.
Bridging the Gap: From Simulation Labs to Bedside Care
Medical and nursing education requires far more than reading textbooks or attending lectures; it demands real, hands-on interaction with patients under professional guidance. While Galgotias University already features state-of-the-art simulation laboratories—where nursing and health students practice emergency procedures on high-tech mannequins in a safe environment—this new alliance provides the crucial missing link: actual hospital experience.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Dhruv Galgotia, CEO of Galgotias University, emphasized the core mission behind the partnership:
“Healthcare education is complete only when classroom learning meets the realities of patient care. Our students first master their skills in our cutting-edge nursing simulation lab, and this partnership with Felix Hospital now takes them from simulation to the bedside, giving our allied health and nursing students the clinical immersion they need, in a NABH-accredited environment, to graduate as confident, job-ready professionals.”
By moving directly from campus simulation centers into a busy, working hospital setting, students will be able to refine their technical skills, learn how to handle real emergencies, and build vital communication habits with patients and families.
Specialized Exposure Across Multiple Medical Disciplines
The partnership is structured to benefit a wide array of healthcare specialties. At Felix Hospital—which operates multispecialty branches in Greater Noida with a total capacity of 400 beds—students will work directly alongside experienced doctors, senior nurses, and clinical technologists.
| School / Department | Specific Areas of Clinical Training |
| School of Nursing | B.Sc. Nursing clinical rotations, bedside patient management, emergency care, and room-to-room nursing procedures. |
| Physiotherapy | Physical therapy, post-surgery movement recovery, electrotherapy, and patient rehabilitation. |
| Cardiovascular Therapy | Heart monitoring technology, diagnostic support, and assistance in cardiac care units. |
| Medical Radiology & Imaging | Operating advanced imaging equipment such as X-rays, CT scans, and diagnostic ultrasound devices. |
| Optometry & Lab Sciences | Eye diagnostics, vision assessments, clinical pathology, and diagnostic blood/sample testing. |
All training modules will align strictly with the official curriculum guidelines set by national bodies, including the National Commission for Allied and Healthcare Professions and the Indian Nursing Council.
Focus on Quality Standards and Patient Safety
A major advantage for the students is gaining firsthand experience inside a National Accreditation Board for Hospitals & Healthcare Providers (NABH) accredited environment. NABH standards represent the highest benchmark for quality control, hygiene, and patient safety in Indian healthcare.
Through their internships at Felix Hospital, trainees won’t just learn medical techniques; they will also learn how a top-tier hospital runs its operations. They will practice strict infection control protocols, learn digital patient health record-keeping, and understand ethical healthcare practices—skills that make graduates instantly valuable to future employers.
Beyond individual internships, the agreement creates a broad platform for ongoing collaboration between the two institutions. Plans include joint research initiatives, interdisciplinary medical workshops, health awareness camps, and continuous professional development programs for hospital staff and faculty.
Strengthening Community and Regional Healthcare
This collaboration with Felix Hospital is part of a broader push by Galgotias University to uplift regional healthcare infrastructure. The university recently collaborated with local government health authorities to upgrade the Community Health Centre (CHC) at Dadha in Greater Noida. By equipping the center with modern physical therapy tools and sending trained student support, the university helped improve rehabilitation access for rural patients in the region.
With over 50,000 enrolled students and a strong track record of institutional quality (including a NAAC A+ accreditation rating), Galgotias University continues to expand its footprint in health sciences, technology, and community development. By partnering with established healthcare providers like Felix Hospital, the university ensures that its students leave campus not just with a degree, but with the practical confidence needed to save lives and support modern healthcare systems.
