The Himachal Pradesh Board of School Education (HPBOSE) has extended the registration deadline for Class 9 and Class 10 students for the 2026-27 academic session to November 16, 2026. Students who have not yet registered can do so with a late fee of Rs 500 by this date. Registrations submitted after November 16, 2026, will not be considered by the board.

Following the registration period, a correction window will be made available for schools to rectify errors in the submitted forms. This facility will be active from November 17 to November 25, 2026, allowing for amendments to key student details.
Revised Registration Process and Deadlines
The HPBOSE has implemented a revised registration procedure, requiring students to register in Class 9 and Class 11, a change from the previous system of registration in Classes 10 and 12. This amendment, governed by Rule 18.1 of the HPBOSE exam regulations, 1994, aims to mitigate technical and administrative challenges during subsequent board examinations. Registration completed in Class 9 will remain valid until the Class 10 Matriculation exam, and Class 11 registration will be valid until the Class 12 Senior Secondary exam.
The initial deadline for registration without a late fee was October 15, 2026, with a fee of Rs 200 per student. The current extension to November 16, 2026, mandates a late fee of Rs 500 for all registrations. HPBOSE Chairman Dr Rajesh Sharma has directed principals and heads of affiliated institutions to ensure all eligible students are registered if you look at the revised procedure.

This facility covers crucial student information such as names, father’s and mother’s names, gender, date of birth, category, and selected elective subjects. Dr Rajesh Sharma stated that this additional time is provided to ensure accuracy in student records.
Principals and headmasters of all government and private schools have been instructed to complete the registration process within the stipulated timeline.
