The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC), under the Directorate General of Health Services, Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, has initiated the NEET PG Counselling 2026 registration and seat allotment process today, 10 October 2026. This online counselling is being conducted on the official portal, mcc.nic.in, in compliance with orders from the Hon’ble Supreme Court of India dated 23 March 2012 and 09 May 2017, and as per notifications from the National Medical Commission (NMC) and the Ministry of Health & Family Welfare (MoHFW).

The counselling process manages admissions to postgraduate medical courses, specifically covering 50% All India Quota (AIQ) seats in government medical colleges and 100% of seats in deemed and central universities. The remaining 50% of seats in government colleges fall under the State Quota, which is handled by respective state counselling authorities. The MCC also conducts online counselling for 100% seats in Super-specialty courses (DM/Mch).

Steps for Candidates

Candidates participating in the NEET PG Counselling 2026 must follow a specific sequence of steps to complete their admission process, as outlined by the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC).
