IBPS recruitment 2026: Apply for server administrator, assistant, programming assistant by November 12

The Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) commenced its recruitment drive for regular appointments to Server Administrator, Assistant, and Programming Assistant posts today, October 29, 2026. Interested candidates can submit their applications online through the official website, ibps.in, until November 12, 2026.

This recruitment, detailed in Advertisement No. IBPS/2026-27/06, aims to fill positions at the IBPS office located in Kandivali (East), Mumbai. The selection process includes an online examination and a personal interview, both scheduled for November 2026.

Eligibility and Application Process

Applicants for the Server Administrator (Grade D), Assistant (Grade B), and Programming Assistant (Grade B) positions must meet specific educational qualifications, age limits, and work experience requirements. The age limit is calculated as of October 1, 2026, with applicable relaxations as per rules. The official notification does not specify the total number of vacancies for these posts.

Candidates applying for Server Administrator must possess a B.E. or B.Tech degree in Electronics, Computer Science, or Information Technology, along with three years of experience in Linux server administration and network management. For the Assistant position, a bachelor’s degree with at least 60% marks, advanced MS Excel skills, and two years of experience in data validation, management information systems, or clerical work are required. Programming Assistant applicants need a B.Sc. in IT or Computer Science, BCA, or a B.E. in Computer Science or IT, coupled with two years of experience in UNIX or Linux applications and data handling.

The application fee for all posts is Rs. 250, payable online by November 12, 2026. Candidates are advised to visit ibps.in, navigate to the Careers section, and access Advertisement No. IBPS/2026-27/06 to register using a valid email address and mobile number. The application form requires educational and work experience details, along with uploads of a photograph, signature, left thumb impression, handwritten declaration, and supporting documents. A printed copy of the submitted form should be retained for future reference.

Selection Procedure and Remuneration

The selection process for these IBPS positions involves several stages: application shortlisting, document verification, an online examination, and a personal interview. The online examination will consist of 100 questions carrying a total of 100 marks, to be completed within 90 minutes. A negative marking of 0.25 marks will be applied for each incorrect answer. The examination will be conducted in English at the IBPS office in Mumbai, and candidates must achieve the minimum qualifying score in each test.

Travel and accommodation expenses for the examination and interview will not be reimbursed by IBPS. All selected candidates will be permanently based in Mumbai, with preference given to Mumbai residents, and IBPS will not provide accommodation. A mandatory two-year service bond of Rs. 1 lakh must be signed by successful applicants.

The monthly remuneration for a Server Administrator is approximately Rs. 73,020, with an estimated annual CTC of Rs. 14.09 lakh. Assistant and Programming Assistant positions offer approximately Rs. 54,210 per month, with an annual CTC of around Rs. 10.57 lakh.
