KCET Option Entry is the process where candidates submit their preferred courses and colleges before seat allotment. After the allotment result, candidates must select one of the four post-allotment choices depending on whether they want to accept, upgrade, reject, or exit.

  • Choice 1: Satisfied with the allotted seat and willing to confirm admission. Candidate pays the fee and reports to the college.

  • Choice 2: Satisfied with the allotted seat but wants to participate in subsequent rounds for a higher preference.

  • Choice 3: Not satisfied with the allotted seat, rejects it, but wishes to participate in the next round.

  • Choice 4: Not satisfied with the allotted seat, rejects it, and exits the KCET 2026 counselling process.

Important : KEA has emphasized that candidates who fail to exercise a choice within the extended deadline will automatically be treated as Choice-4 (Exit), rejecting their seat and making them ineligible for subsequent counselling rounds.
