MCC NEET UG Counselling 2026 Round 2 Registration, Choice Filling Begins Today at mcc.nic.in

The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) has initiated the NEET UG Counselling 2026 Round 2 registration and choice filling process today, September 3, 2026, from 1:00 PM onwards. Aspirant candidates for NEET Under Graduate (MBBS/BDS) seats can access the registration portal on the official website, mcc.nic.in, under the UG Medical Counselling section.

This second round of counselling is crucial for candidates who did not secure a seat in Round 1 or are seeking to upgrade their allotted seats. The MCC, operating under the Directorate General of Health Services, Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India, conducts counselling for 15% All India Quota seats and various participating institutions and categories.

NEET UG Counselling 2026 Round 2: Important Dates

The MCC has released a detailed schedule for NEET UG Counselling 2026 Round 2, outlining key activities from registration to reporting. Candidates are advised to adhere strictly to these timelines to ensure their participation in the seat allocation process.

The MCC had previously scheduled Round 2 counselling to begin on August 24, 2026, with registration and choice filling continuing until September 2, and the allotment result slated for September 5, 2026. However, the schedule has since been revised, and the current dates are now in effect.

NEET UG Counselling 2026 Round 2: Registration and Choice Filling Details

The registration window for Round 2 and fee payment will remain open until September 8, 2026. Following registration, candidates must complete their choice filling between September 3 and September 9, 2026. The choice locking facility will be active from September 8, 4 PM, until September 9, 10 AM. The MCC had also scheduled the release of the seat matrix for Round 2 on September 1 and 2, 2026, leading up to the commencement of registration.

Candidates who did not secure a seat in Round 1 are not required to register again for Round 2. However, those who registered for the first time in Round 1 and are participating in Round 2 must register again. The MCC UG portal provides a dedicated ‘New Registration for UG Counselling 2026’ option for eligible candidates.

Eligible candidates can register and fill their choices for NEET UG Counselling 2026 Round 2 by following these steps:

1. Go to the official website, mcc.nic.in.
2. Navigate to the ‘UG Medical Counselling’ section on the homepage.
3. Click on the ‘New Registration for UG Counselling 2026’ option for Round 2.
4. Log in using your NEET UG 2026 roll number and other required credentials.
5. Fill in all necessary personal and academic details accurately.
6. Pay the prescribed registration fee online.
7. Proceed to fill in your choices of colleges and courses in order of preference.
8. Lock your choices within the stipulated choice locking period.

NEET UG Counselling 2026 Round 2: Seat Allotment and Reporting

The seat allotment processing for Round 2 is scheduled to take place from September 9 to September 10, 2026. The much-anticipated Round 2 Seat Allotment Result will be declared on September 11, 2026. Candidates who are allotted a seat in this round must report to their respective colleges for admission and joining between September 12 and September 18, 2026. The verification of joined candidates for Round 2 will be conducted on September 19, 2026, marking the final step in this phase of counselling.
