Jharkhand NEET MDS 2026 round 2 choice filling begins today, ends September 26

The Jharkhand Combined Entrance Competitive Examination Board (JCECEB) has released the Final State Merit List for the second round of NEET MDS 2026 counselling and opened the online choice filling and choice locking window. This process is for admission to Post Graduate Dental (MDS) State Quota seats based on the NEET MDS 2026 result.

The online registration and choice filling for eligible candidates began today, September 24, 2026, and will continue until September 26, 2026. The Provisional Seat Allotment Letter is slated for release on September 27, 2026, with subsequent certificate verification and admission activities concluding by September 30, 2026.

Jharkhand NEET MDS 2026 Round 2: Key Dates and Application Process

The JCECEB announced the schedule for the Second Round of Online Counselling, detailing the timeline for various stages. The Provisional State Merit List for Round 2 was initially published on September 21, 2026. Candidates were given an opportunity to report discrepancies in this provisional list on September 22, 2026, by sending objections to controller.jceceb@gmail.com. The Final State Merit List was then published on September 23, 2026.

Candidates who were already included in the State Merit List of the First Round of counselling are exempt from submitting a fresh application. The eligibility criteria for the second round remain consistent with those outlined in Advt. No. JCECEB/48/26-65 dated August 20, 2026, and Advt. No. JCECEB/48/26-69 dated August 24, 2026.

Counselling and Security Deposit Fees

Candidates participating in the counselling process are required to pay both an application/registration fee and a counselling fee, depending on their category. For General, EWS, BC-I, and BC-II categories, the application/registration fee is INR 1,000, while for SC, ST, Female Candidates of All Categories, and Divyang Candidates, it is INR 500.

The counselling fee for General, EWS, BC-I, and BC-II categories is INR 2,000, and for SC, ST, and Female Candidates of All Categories, it is INR 1,200. Additionally, a security deposit is mandated, which varies based on the type of institution and candidate category. This security money will be forfeited if a candidate does not take admission after being allotted a seat in the second or subsequent counselling rounds.
