Jharkhand NEET MDS counselling 2026 round 2 final merit list out, choice filling starts today

The Jharkhand Combined Entrance Competitive Examination Board (JCECEB) released the Final State Merit List for Round 2 of Jharkhand NEET MDS Counselling 2026 on September 24, 2026. Concurrently, the online choice filling and choice locking process for admission to Post Graduate Dental (MDS) State Quota seats, based on the NEET MDS 2026 result, commenced on the same day.

Candidates who registered for the second round and submitted objections against the provisional merit list can now check their final state rank and eligibility status on the official JCECEB portal at jceceb.jharkhand.gov.in. This phase is crucial for candidates to select their preferred colleges and MDS specialisations, with the submitted choices being considered for the subsequent seat allotment process.

Key Dates for Jharkhand NEET MDS Round 2 Counselling

The Final State Merit List for Round 2 was published on September 24, 2026, according to reports from NDTV and Times of India. The online registration and choice filling window is open for three days, from September 24 to September 26, 2026. Following this, the Provisional Seat Allotment Letter is scheduled for September 27, 2026. Document verification and college admission for candidates who are allotted seats will occur between September 27 and September 30, 2026.

The Provisional State Merit List for Round 2 was initially published on September 21, 2026. Candidates were provided an opportunity to report discrepancies in this provisional list on September 22, 2026, by sending their objections to controller.jceceb@gmail.com. Candidates who were part of the First Round’s State Merit List are not required to submit a new application for Round 2.

How to Check the Final State Merit List and Fill Choices

Candidates can download the final merit list by visiting the official JCECEB website, jceceb.jharkhand.gov.in. On the homepage, they need to click on the ‘Download’ tab and locate the link titled ‘Final State Merit List of NEET MDS – 2026 (Round 2)’. Upon accessing the list, candidates should verify their NEET MDS Roll Number or Application ID, State Merit Rank, Category Rank, and percentile score to confirm their eligibility and standing.

Eligible candidates are required to complete the online choice filling and choice locking process within the stipulated deadline of September 26, 2026. During physical reporting for document verification, candidates must carry original academic certificates, their NEET MDS scorecard, domicile proof, and category certificate, if applicable. The eligibility criteria for the second round are consistent with Advt. No. JCECEB/48/26-65 dated August 20, 2026, and Advt. No. JCECEB/48/26-69 dated August 24, 2026.

Application, Counselling Fees and Security Deposit

The application and registration fees vary by category. For General, EWS, BC-I, and BC-II categories, the fee is INR 1,000. SC, ST, Female Candidates of All Categories, and Divyang Candidates are required to pay INR 500. Similarly, the counselling fee for General, EWS, BC-I, and BC-II categories is INR 2,000, while for SC, ST, and Female Candidates of All Categories, it is INR 1,200.

A security deposit is also mandated, which will be forfeited if a candidate does not take admission after being allotted a seat in the second or subsequent counselling rounds. The security deposit amounts are INR 30,000 for Government – UR/EWS seats, INR 15,000 for Government – ST/SC/OBC/PwD seats, and INR 1,00,000 for Private Dental College seats or a combination of Government + Private seats. For the Stray/Mop-Up Round, the security deposit is INR 50,000.
