NEET UG Counselling 2026 round 3 seat matrix out; allotment on September 30

The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) has released the Round 3 seat matrix for NEET UG Counselling 2026, supporting admissions to MBBS, BDS, and BSc Nursing courses under the 15% All India Quota (AIQ) and other categories. The seat allotment result for this round is scheduled for September 30, 2026.

The counselling process, which began on September 22, 2026, is conducted online through the official MCC website, mcc.nic.in. This round follows the release of the Round 2 Final Result on September 12, 2026, and the Final Allotment Result for Round 1 earlier in the year.

Key Dates for NEET UG Round 3 Counselling

Registration for Round 3 counselling commenced on September 22, 2026, and will conclude on September 27, 2026, by 3 PM. Choice filling for candidates began on September 23, 2026, and will close on September 28, 2026. The choice locking window is scheduled from September 27, 2026, at 7 PM, until September 28, 2026, at 12 noon.

Following the choice locking period, the seat allotment processing will occur from September 28 to September 29, 2026. Candidates who are allotted seats in Round 3 must report to their respective institutes between October 1 and October 9, 2026. Joined Candidate Data Verification is slated for October 10, 2026.

Seat Matrix and Participating Institutions

The Round 3 seat matrix includes a total of 17,239 seats. This comprises 6,703 clear vacancy seats, which remained vacant after Round 2, and 10,353 virtual vacancy seats, currently held by candidates who may seek an upgrade in Round 3. In addition, 183 new seats have been added to the NEET UG Round 3 Seat Matrix 2026 due to new approvals or increased intake.

Twenty All India Institutes of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) are participating in the NEET UG counselling 2026. These include AIIMS New Delhi, AIIMS Bhubaneswar, AIIMS Bhopal, AIIMS Jodhpur, AIIMS Patna, AIIMS Raipur, AIIMS Rishikesh, AIIMS Gorakhpur, AIIMS Kalyani, AIIMS Mangalagiri, AIIMS Nagpur, AIIMS Rae Bareli, AIIMS Bathinda, AIIMS Bibinagar, AIIMS Bilaspur, AIIMS Deoghar, AIIMS Guwahati, AIIMS Jammu, AIIMS Madurai, and AIIMS Rajkot. Other participating institutions include Aligarh Muslim University, Banaras Hindu University, University of Delhi, Faculty of Dentistry, Jamia Millia Islamia, Delhi, and Armed Forces Medical College, Pune.

Registration Fees and Eligibility

Candidates are required to pay a registration fee, which varies based on category and the type of institution. For General category candidates applying for 15% AIQ and Central Universities, the fee is ₹1,000 non-refundable plus a ₹10,000 refundable security deposit. SC/ST/OBC/PwD candidates in this category pay ₹500 non-refundable plus a ₹5,000 refundable security deposit.

For Deemed Universities, General category candidates and SC/ST/OBC/PwD candidates both pay a ₹5,000 non-refundable registration fee along with a ₹2,00,000 refundable security deposit. Candidates who registered in Round 1 or Round 2 and did not receive a seat are not required to complete fresh registration for Round 3.
