Why Has the RRB Group D 2026 Exam Schedule Been Revised?
The modification to the examination timetable was primarily enacted to manage national-level examination logistics and streamline candidate traffic:
-
High Candidate Volume Management: Given the large volume of applicants for 22,195 posts, adding an additional testing day on August 25 allows for better distribution of test-takers across exam centers.
-
Intermittent Gaps for Operational Audits: Creating distinct date blocks (August 3β6, 9β14, 17β21, and 25) enables technical teams to sanitize labs and maintain server reliability across multi-shift CBT operations.
-
Aadhaar Biometric Verification: Spacing out exam days ensures sufficient time for biometric verification and mandatory Aadhaar authentication at test venues without bottlenecking entry gates.
