The University of Delhi (DU) has officially released the complete schedule for the Common Seat Allocation System (CSAS-UG) 2026 Upgradation Round, Mid-Entry admissions, and Round 3 seat allocation. Candidates who appeared for the Common University Entrance Test (CUET UG) and are participating in Delhi University’s ongoing undergraduate admissions can now check the detailed timeline on the official portal, ugadmission.uod.ac.in.

With over 71,000 undergraduate seats already confirmed across various DU colleges, the university is entering a crucial phase of counselling. The latest notification outlines the exact deadlines for seat upgrades, fresh mid-entry registrations, document verification, and fee submission.

DU CSAS Upgradation & Ward Quota Round Schedule

For candidates who opted for the “Upgrade” option after Round 2, along with applicants under the Ward Supernumerary Quota, the university will release the updated allocation outcomes on August 1. Colleges will immediately begin reviewing candidate profiles to approve or verify applications.

Candidates who secure an upgraded seat must ensure prompt online payment to lock in their newly allocated college and programme combination. Failure to pay the differential fee by August 4 will lead to the cancellation of the upgraded seat.

DU Mid-Entry Registration Details

To assist students who missed earlier registration deadlines or could not complete Phase 1 or Phase 2 of CSAS UG, Delhi University has announced a dedicated Mid-Entry window.

• Mid-Entry Start Date: August 3, 2026

• Mid-Entry Last Date: August 5, 2026 (until 11:59 PM)

• Application Correction Window: August 3 to August 5, 2026

• Mid-Entry Processing Fee: ₹1,000 (non-refundable)

Exclusions Under Mid-Entry Scheme

The university has explicitly noted that the mid-entry option will not be available for performance-based courses or special quotas. Excluded categories include:

• Extra-Curricular Activities (ECA) Quota

• Sports Quota

• Children/Widows of Armed Forces Personnel (CW) Quota

• Ward Supernumerary Quota

• Performance-Based Programmes: B.A. (Hons) Music, B.Sc. (Physical Education, Health Education & Sports), and Practical-based Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA).

The much-anticipated DU CSAS Round 3 seat allocation list will be declared on August 8. This round will consider all valid mid-entry applicants, existing unallotted candidates, and those seeking further allocation.

According to official data released by Delhi University, a total of 71,342 students have formally confirmed their undergraduate admissions for the 2026–27 session. Out of these candidates, 25,088 students opted for the ‘Upgrade’ option in pursuit of higher-preference choices, while 32,233 candidates chose to ‘Freeze’ their allocated combinations.

The regular academic session for first-year undergraduate students commenced on July 28 across affiliated colleges.
