Telangana AYUSH UG counselling 2026 registration extended: apply by September 28

The Kaloji Narayana Rao University of Health Sciences (KNRUHS) has extended the deadline for online registration and application submission for Telangana AYUSH UG Counselling 2026. Candidates now have until 5:00 PM on September 28, 2026, to complete the process for admission to Undergraduate AYUSH courses for the academic year 2026-27.

This extension, announced via a notification issued on September 24, 2026, aims to accommodate candidates who had not registered earlier. The counselling is for admission under the Competent Authority Quota for courses such as Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine and Surgery (BAMS), Bachelor of Homoeopathic Medicine and Surgery (BHMS), Bachelor of Unani Medicine and Surgery (BUMS), and Bachelor of Naturopathy and Yogic Sciences (BNYS).

Revised Registration Schedule and Application Process

The original admission notification and prospectus were issued on September 16, 2026. Online registration and certificate uploading for UG AYUSH 2026-27 (Competent Authority Quota) was initially available on tsbahnu.tsche.in from 6:00 AM on September 17, 2026, to 2:00 PM on September 25, 2026. With the latest extension, candidates must complete their online registration and submission before 5:00 PM on September 28, 2026.

Applicants are advised to ensure the accuracy of the information provided and to upload all required documents as specified in the admission notification and prospectus. The current extension notice pertains only to the revised registration deadline and does not include any announcements regarding subsequent web-options or seat-allotment schedules.

Fee Structure and NEET UG Cutoffs

The registration and processing fee for OC and BC candidates is ₹2,500, while for SC and ST candidates, it is ₹2,000. These fees are non-refundable. All candidates who are allotted a seat will be required to pay a university fee of ₹8,000 online when downloading their Allotment Order. In addition, a discontinuation bond of ₹1,00,000 is applicable as a penalty if a seat is discontinued after the admission closure.

Admission to these courses is based on NEET UG 2026 scores. The minimum qualifying cutoff for the General Category and EWS is the 50th Percentile, corresponding to 213 marks. For SC, ST, and BC categories, the cutoff is the 40th Percentile (177 marks). Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (UR/EWS) require a 45th Percentile (194 marks), while those in SC/ST/BC categories with benchmark disabilities need a 40th Percentile (177 marks).

All India Quota and College Information

While KNRUHS manages the state quota seats, admission to 15% All India Quota (AIQ) seats for AYUSH courses is conducted centrally by the Ayush Admissions Central Counseling Committee (AACCC) under the Ministry of Ayush, through its official portal aaccc.gov.in. For instance, Anantha Laxmi Govt. Ayurved College, Warangal, and Dr. B.R.K.R. Government Ayurveda College, Hyderabad, each have 9 AIQ seats for BAMS, while JSPS Govt Homoeopathic Medical College, Ramanthapur, has 19 AIQ seats for BHMS.

Telangana offers various government and private AYUSH colleges with specific seat intakes. Government colleges such as Anantha Laxmi Government Ayurvedic Medical College and Dr. B.R.K.R. Government Ayurvedic Medical College, both with an intake of 63 seats each, charge an annual government fee of ₹10,982. Dr. J.S.P.S. Government Homoeopathic Medical College & Hospital has an intake of 125 seats, while Government Nizamia Tibbi College & Hospital offers 100 seats for Unani, and Gandhi Naturopathic Medical College has 50 seats for BNYS. Private unaided colleges like Devs Homoeopathic Medical College and Hospital and JIMS Homoeopathic Medical College & Hospital each have an intake of 100 seats.
