UP Board Class 10, 12 Compartment/Improvement Exams 2026 on July 28, Practical Exams on July 16-17

The Uttar Pradesh Madhyamik Shiksha Parishad (UPMSP) has announced that the Class 10 High School Improvement/Compartment Examination and Class 12 Intermediate Compartment Examination 2026 will be held on July 28, 2026. The official notice was released on the UPMSP website on 3rd July 2026. These examinations provide students a second opportunity to improve their marks or clear failed subjects. A total of 42,078 students have registered for the examinations, with 20,851 appearing for Class 10 and 21,227 for Class 12. Besides the theory exams, compartment practical exams for 10th and 12th will be conducted from 16th-17th July 2026.

• Candidates must report to their respective examination centre 45 minutes before the scheduled start of the examination.
• Strict rules are in place regarding electronic devices. Mobile phones, smartwatches, and any other electronic gadgets are strictly prohibited inside the examination hall.
• School principals have been directed to download the admit cards for eligible students from the official website, upmsp.edu.in. After downloading, principals must countersign and distribute these admit cards to the candidates.
• To ensure fairness and transparency, voice recorder-enabled CCTV cameras and internet routers must remain operational throughout the examination in all examination rooms.
• Question paper packets will be opened inside the strong room under continuous 24×7 CCTV surveillance with voice recording.

CBSE Compartment Exams 2026: Key Dates and Statistics

In related news, the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) also conducted its compartment examinations for the 2026 session. The CBSE Class 12 compartment exam is scheduled for July 15, 2026.

Registration for the CBSE Class 12 compartment exam was open from May 30 to June 17, 2026. Admit cards for the CBSE Class 12 compartment exam were issued on July 7, 2026.

The CBSE Class 10 compartment exam was conducted earlier, from May 15 to June 1, 2026. A total of 1,89,095 CBSE Class 12 students were placed in the compartment category in 2026, according to official data.
