UPESEAT 2026 Registration Begins at upes.ac.in; Apply for B.Tech Admissions

UPESEAT 2026 Registration Phase 6 Begins at upes.ac.in, Open Till 15th July 2026

The University of Petroleum and Energy Studies (UPES) has commenced the registration process for UPESEAT 2026 Phase 6 on its official website, upes.ac.in. The last date to register for UPESEAT 2026 Phase 6 is 15th July 2026. The fees to apply for UPESEAT 2026 is Rs. 1,750. UPESEAT exam is conducted to offer admission into BTech courses at UPES institute. This 2-hour long exam consists of a total of 125 MCQs.

The UPESEAT 2026 entrance examination will be conducted online. While the official exam date is yet to be announced,  The exam is scheduled for every Saturday, offering candidates multiple opportunities to appear for the test.  Candidates seeking admission to Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech) programmes can now apply for the entrance examination. According to, “Aspiring engineers can now apply for UPESEAT 2026.”

How to Apply for UPESEAT 2026

UPESEAT Application Form

  1. Go to the official UPES website, upes.ac.in.
  2. Navigate to the UPESEAT 2026 registration link.
  3. Fill in the required personal and academic details in the application form.
  4. Upload necessary documents as per the instructions.
  5. Pay the application fee, if applicable.
  6. Submit the completed application form and take a printout for future reference.

UPESEAT 2026 Application Fee

Candidates applying for UPESEAT 2026 are required to pay a non-refundable application fee of ₹1,750 while submitting the online application form. The fee is the same for all categories and can be paid through online modes such as credit card, debit card, net banking, or UPI. Candidates applying for more than one programme must pay the application fee separately for each programme selected.

UPESEAT 2026 Eligibility Criteria

Candidates must satisfy the minimum academic requirements prescribed by UPES to be eligible for admission through UPESEAT 2026.

  • For most B.Tech programmes: Candidates should have secured at least 50% marks in both Class 10 and Class 12, along with a minimum of 50% aggregate in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics (PCM) in Class 12.
  • For B.Tech Mathematics and Computing: Applicants must have obtained at least 70% marks in Class 10 and Class 12, as well as a minimum of 70% aggregate in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics (PCM) in Class 12.
  • Selection pathways: Eligible candidates can seek admission through UPESEAT, JEE Main 2026, Board Merit, SAT, or CUET-UG, subject to meeting the programme-specific eligibility and selection criteria prescribed by the universi

UPESEAT 2026 Exam Details

UPESEAT 2026 is conducted in online remote-proctored mode and has a duration of 2 hours. The examination window remains open from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM on the scheduled exam day, allowing candidates to log in at any time during this period. Once a candidate logs in, the 2-hour timer begins immediately.

The exam consists of 125 multiple-choice questions (MCQs) carrying one mark each, and there is no negative marking. Login credentials for the online examination are sent to candidates one day before their selected exam date on their registered email ID and mobile number.

UPESEAT 2026 Exemption Criteria

Candidates can be exempted from appearing for UPESEAT for B.Tech programs if they meet specific conditions:

For Most B.Tech Programmes

  • Board Merit: Minimum 80% marks in Class 10, Class 12, and PCM (Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics).
  • JEE Main 2026: At least 50% marks in Class 10, Class 12, and PCM, along with a 50+ percentile in JEE Main 2026.
  • SAT 2026: Minimum 50% marks in Class 10, Class 12, and PCM, along with a SAT score of 1040 or above.

For B.Tech Mathematics and Computing

  • Board Merit: Minimum 80% marks in Class 10, Class 12, and PCM.
  • JEE Main 2026: At least 70% marks in Class 10, Class 12, and PCM, along with a 60+ percentile in JEE Main 2026.
  • SAT 2026: Minimum 70% marks in Class 10, Class 12, and PCM, along with a SAT score of 1150 or above.
