This extension applies to the registration process, document upload, and online payment of the registration fee, offering a crucial second chance for eligible candidates.

The decision to extend the deadline from the earlier August 12, 2026, cut-off aims to accommodate aspirants who may have missed the initial window, ensuring that no qualified candidate loses their opportunity to secure a seat in the first round of counselling for MBBS and BDS courses. UP NEET UG 2026 Round 1: Revised Registration Schedule with Fees

Candidates now have until 2:00 PM on August 14, 2026, to complete their registration. The payment window for both the non-refundable registration fee and the security deposit has also been extended until 5:00 PM on the same day. The counselling process, conducted by DGME Uttar Pradesh, is expected to proceed in four to five rounds this year, covering 85 percent state quota MBBS and BDS seats.

Will There be Further UP NEET 2026 Counselling Rounds?

Yes. UP NEET UG counselling may continue through multiple rounds, including Round 2, mop-up and stray vacancy rounds, depending on the availability of vacant seats.
