Candidates who participated in the third round of Uttar Pradesh Technical Admission Counselling (UPTAC) for B.Tech, B.Des, and Integrated M.Tech courses can now check their seat allotment status by accessing the candidate login on the portal.

The Round 3 seat allotment list has been prepared based on candidate ranks in JEE Main 2026, choices submitted during the preference filling window, and seat availability across participating engineering colleges and institutes in Uttar Pradesh.

Candidates who have been allotted seats in Round 3 must complete their online willingness submission and seat confirmation fee payment by August 1, 2026. Applicants can log in to view their allotment, download their provisional allotment letter, and select their post-allotment options.

Candidates can follow these steps to check their seat allotment status and download their provisional allotment letter:

1. Visit the official UPTAC counselling portal at uptac.samarth.edu.in.

2. Click on the “Candidate Login” link displayed on the homepage.

3. Enter your Application Number / Registration Number and Password.

4. Click on the Submit button to access your candidate dashboard.

5. Click on the “Seat Allotment Status” section.

6. Review your assigned institute, course branch, and category allocation details.

7. Download and print the provisional seat allotment letter for official verification.

Post-Allotment Process: Freeze vs. Float Explained

Upon checking their seat allocation, candidates are required to select their preferred willingness option online before the deadline:

• Freeze Option: If a candidate is satisfied with the seat allocated in Round 3 and wishes to accept it, they should choose Freeze. Selecting Freeze locks the seat and excludes the candidate from further upgradation in subsequent regular rounds.

• Float Option: If a candidate wants to hold the currently allotted seat while remaining eligible for seat upgradation in Round 4, they must choose Float.

Both Freeze and Float candidates must pay the required Seat Acceptance Fee within the deadline to confirm their seat. Failure to pay the confirmation fee will result in automatic cancellation of the allotted seat.

• Physical Reporting at Allotted Institutes: Candidates holding frozen seats after Round 4 must physically report to their assigned colleges between August 4 and August 7, 2026, for final document verification and admission fee completion.

• Internal Sliding & Special Rounds: Round 5 (Internal Sliding) is tentatively set for August 8, 2026, followed by Special Counselling Rounds starting August 13, 2026, for remaining vacant seats.

Candidates are advised to keep all essential documents—including JEE Main scorecards, Class 10 and 12 certificates, UP domicile certificates, category certificates, and valid photo ID proofs—ready for physical reporting.
