The West Bengal Medical Counselling Committee (WBMCC) released the Round 1 Seat Matrix and the List of Verified Candidates for the West Bengal NEET UG Counselling 2026 on August 19, 2026. Medical aspirants across the state who successfully completed their document verification can now view and download the official seat allotment matrix directly from the official portal at wbmcc.nic.in.

The release of the seat matrix is one of the most crucial milestones in the state’s medical and dental admission process. It offers candidates a clear, college-wise, and category-wise breakdown of available seats across government, private, and dental institutions for both MBBS and BDS courses.

West Bengal NEET UG 2026: Overall Breakdown

The WBMCC oversees the counselling process for 85% State Quota seats in government medical and dental colleges, along with 100% of seats—spanning State Quota, Management Quota, and NRI Quota—in private institutions.

With new seat approvals added to the state medical network this academic year, West Bengal offers over 4,350 government MBBS seats across 25 institutions, along with private and dental seats.

The seat matrix reflects statutory state reservation rules applied to the 85% State Quota seats in government institutions:

• Unreserved (UR): ~45%

• Scheduled Caste (SC): 22%

• Scheduled Tribe (ST): 6%

• OBC-A: 10%

• OBC-B: 7%

• Economically Weaker Section (EWS): 10%

1. Visit Official Website: Go to the official West Bengal Medical Counselling Committee portal at wbmcc.nic.in.

2. Navigate to UG Section: On the homepage, select the ‘UG Medical & Dental Counselling’ tab.
