The Xavier Institute of Social Service (XISS) Ranchi has opened admissions for its Post Graduate Diploma in Management (PGDM) 2027-29 batch. The admission process officially began on October 12, 2026, with a notification issued around October 13, 2026.

The institute offers an AICTE-approved two-year full-time PGDM program, which the Association of Indian Universities (AIU) granted equivalence to an MBA Degree of an Indian University on November 01, 2022. The admission process adheres to AICTE guidelines.
Application Process and Program Preferences
XISS Ranchi accepts only online registrations for the PGDM 2027-29 batch. Each applicant is permitted to submit only one application, linked to their Aadhaar number. Within this single application, candidates have the option to select two programs, designated as Program Preference I and Program Preference II, without incurring any additional charges for the second preference.
The registration fee for the application form is ₹2000, plus an 18% Goods and Services Tax (GST). Applicants belonging to Christian Minorities, Scheduled Tribes (ST), Scheduled Castes (SC), and other minorities should indicate their category while filling out the online registration form.
Selection Criteria and Entrance Tests
The final selection for the PGDM program is based on a diverse set of attributes, and admissions are not granted solely on the basis of high scores in entrance tests. Eligibility for the Group Discussion and Personal Interview (GD&PI) round is determined by the relevant cut-off for the given year.
Shortlisted candidates who clear the cut-off will be called for GD&PI through an offline (face-to-face) mode only. However, an online mode for GD&PI is available upon special request. The institute generally conducts GD&PI sessions in late January or the first week of February, contingent on the availability of CMAT test results. Classes for the new academic session commence as per the date provided in the Academic Calendar issued by AICTE for the relevant year.
Fifty percent of the total seats will be filled by applicants with valid CAT and/or XAT scores, while the remaining 50% of seats will be allocated to candidates applying through CMAT scores. Also, 50% of the seats are reserved for candidates belonging to Christian Minorities, ST, SC, and other minorities.
