The latest updates for JEE Advanced 2026 confirm that IIT Roorkee will conduct the exam on May 17, 2026. Registration for the top 2,50,000 JEE Main qualifiers begins on April 23 and closes on May 2, 2026.

A critical update for 2026 is the strict requirement for category certificates (OBC-NCL/EWS) to be issued on or after April 1, 2026. The 75% aggregate marks in Class 12 remains a mandatory eligibility criterion. Candidates must appear for both Paper 1 and Paper 2 on exam day to be considered for the final merit list and IIT admissions.

• Exam City Choices: You can select up to 10 preferred cities. It is recommended to choose cities within your home state for convenience.

• Language Preference: You must choose between English and Hindi. This choice cannot be changed once the admit card is issued.

• Payment Mode: The portal uses the SBI Multi Option Payment System (MOPS). Ensure your bank’s daily limit allows for a transaction of ₹3,200 (for General males) or ₹1,600 (for Reserved/Female candidates).

Preparation for Exam Day

The JEE Advanced 2026 syllabus remains unchanged from the previous year, focusing heavily on application-based questions in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics.
