AIAPGET 2026 result declared for 49,864 candidates on September 18

The National Testing Agency (NTA) declared the results for the All India Ayush Post Graduate Entrance Test (AIAPGET) 2026 on September 18, 2026. Candidates who appeared for the examination can access their results on the official AIAPGET website, exams.nta.nic.in/aiapget/. This examination serves as the single entrance test for admission to postgraduate courses in Ayurveda, Homoeopathy, Siddha, and Unani for the academic session 2026–27.

A total of 49,864 candidates participated in AIAPGET 2026, which was conducted at 205 centres across 104 cities. The main examination took place on August 22, 2026, with a re-examination for 49 affected candidates held on September 1, 2026. The NTA conducts AIAPGET on behalf of the National Commission for Indian System of Medicine (NCISM) and National Commission for Homoeopathy (NCH), in consultation with the Ministry of Ayush.

AIAPGET 2026 Cutoff Percentiles and Topper Scores

The NTA has established specific cutoff percentiles for AIAPGET 2026. For Unreserved (UR) and Economically Weaker Section (EWS) candidates, the cutoff percentile is 50th. For Other Backward Classes (OBC), Scheduled Caste (SC), and Scheduled Tribe (ST) candidates, the cutoff is 40th percentile. Also, the prescribed PwD cut-off is 45th percentile for UR/EWS-PwD and 40th percentile for applicable reserved PwD categories.

The examination saw varying highest scores across the different Ayush disciplines. In Ayurveda, the highest score achieved was 390 out of 480 marks, corresponding to a 99.9972097 percentile. Homoeopathy recorded the highest score overall with 417 out of 480 marks (99.9906042 percentile). For Siddha, the top score was 319 out of 480 marks (99.8637602 percentile), while Unani had a highest score of 359 out of 480 marks (99.9622499 percentile).

Examination Structure and Application Details

The AIAPGET 2026 examination was a two-hour test comprising 120 multiple-choice questions, with a total of 480 marks. Each correct response was awarded 4 marks, while 1 mark was deducted for each incorrect response. Unanswered or unattempted questions received no marks. The registration process for AIAPGET 2026 concluded on July 30, 2026, with an online correction window open from August 1 to August 2, 2026.

The application fees varied by category: Rs. 2700/- for General (UR) candidates, Rs. 2450/- for General-EWS/OBC-(NCL) candidates, and Rs. 1800/- for SC/ST/PwD/Third Gender candidates. The NTA has clarified that it does not conduct counselling for AIAPGET admissions. Instead, the Ayush Admissions Central Counseling Committee (AACCC) is in charge of counselling for All India quota seats, while designated State/UT Counselling Authorities handle counselling for State/UT quota seats. No other AYUSH colleges, institutions, universities, or deemed universities will conduct separate entrance exams for admission to ASU & H MD/MS courses for the 2026-27 academic session.

Next Steps for Qualified Candidates

Following the declaration of the AIAPGET 2026 results on September 18, 2026, qualified candidates are advised to await the counselling schedule. The National Testing Agency (NTA) has clarified that it does not conduct counselling for AIAPGET admissions. Instead, the Ayush Admissions Central Counseling Committee (AACCC) is taking care of conducting counselling for All India quota seats in government, government-aided, national institutions, central universities, and deemed universities. Candidates should regularly check the official website of AACCC for updates.

Similarly, designated State/UT Counselling Authorities will announce their respective schedules and rules for State/UT quota seats. Qualified candidates are encouraged to monitor the official websites of their concerned State/UT counselling authority for information regarding the admission process. Counselling will be based on AIAPGET merit, subject choice, eligibility, domicile, and applicable reservation rules for the academic session 2026-27.
