As of 25 September 2026, various colleges in West Bengal have commenced or outlined their admission processes for Post Graduate Diploma (PGD) courses, including those in Travel and Tourism, for the upcoming academic year. Institutions such as Netaji Subhas Open University (NSOU), Gitaram Institute of Management, and Maynaguri College Distance Education (MCDE) are among those providing opportunities for higher education and professional development across different specializations.

These PGD programs aim to equip students with advanced skills and knowledge, catering to diverse professional needs. The admission procedures vary by institution, encompassing merit-based selections, entrance examinations, and personal interviews, reflecting a detailed approach to candidate evaluation.

Netaji Subhas Open University PGD Admissions

Netaji Subhas Open University (NSOU) is offering PGD courses in seven specializations for the 2026 admission cycle. These specializations include English Language Teaching, Retail Management, Travel and Tourism, and Disaster Risk Management. Admission to the NSOU PGD programme is merit-based and does not require an entrance examination.

The final selection criteria for NSOU PGD admission include Group Discussion and personal interview rounds. Candidates must verify their minimum educational qualification and specific requirements for their chosen program. Applicants are required to fill an online application form, pay the application fee, and upload academic certificates, ID proof, photograph, signature, and other necessary documents. The final selection list is determined by academic merit, Group Discussion, and PI performance. Selected candidates must present original documents for verification and pay the program fee to confirm their seat.

Gitaram Institute of Management PGD Eligibility and Selection

For the Post Graduate Diploma at Gitaram Institute of Management Murshidabad, candidates must possess a Bachelor’s degree in any discipline from a recognized university. A minimum aggregate score of 50% in their undergraduate studies is also required for applicants.

The application process for Gitaram Institute of Management PGD involves submitting academic transcripts, a completed application form, and appearing for the institute’s entrance examination.
