The BCECEB, constituted under the Bihar Combined Entrance Competitive Examination Act, 1995, issued a revised counselling schedule through official notice ADV_PGMAC26_03 on its official portal, bceceboard.bihar.gov.in. This adjustment impacts admissions to MD, MS, PG Diploma, and DNB programmes offered in government and private medical colleges across the state, which are granted based on NEET PG 2026 scores and candidate choices.

Revised Round 1 Schedule and Candidate Actions

The updated timeline for PGMAC 2026 Round 1 has compressed the subsequent stages for candidates. Following the result declaration on November 6, 2026, candidates will have from November 6 to 12, 2026, to download their provisional seat allotment orders. The crucial document verification and admission process for Round 1 is scheduled for a three-day window, from November 10 to 12, 2026. This leaves a limited period for candidates to arrange travel, gather necessary documents, and complete the in-person verification.

Candidates are advised to download notice ADV_PGMAC26_03 from the BCECEB website for the complete revised timeline. No fresh choice filling is required unless explicitly announced by the BCECEB. Registration-cum-choice filling had concluded on October 31, 2026, prior to the postponement notice. For document verification, candidates must have their NEET PG 2026 scorecard, admit card, and category certificates ready. Any discrepancy in these documents can lead to the rejection of admission.

Event	Revised Date
Round 1 Provisional Seat Allotment Result	November 6, 2026
Downloading of Provisional Seat Allotment Order (Round 1)	November 6 to 12, 2026
Document Verification and Admission (Round 1)	November 10 to 12, 2026
Round 2 Counselling Programme	Remaining schedule unchanged (expected to shift)

Implications for Subsequent Counselling Rounds

While the revised schedule specifically addresses Round 1, the BCECEB has indicated that the remaining schedule for the Round 2 Counselling Programme is currently unchanged. However, the postponement of Round 1 results suggests that further adjustments are likely. Past PGMAC cycles have seen similar deferments, often tied to the timelines of the All India Quota (AIQ) counselling, which is managed by the Medical Counselling Committee.

A single-day shift in Round 1 can lead to significant delays in subsequent stages, potentially pushing document verification windows and Round 2 dates forward by several days. This signals that the entire counselling cycle for PGMAC 2026 may be extended. Candidates are encouraged to visit the official BCECEB portal daily for the latest updates and to download notice ADV_PGMAC26_03 to ensure they have the most current information regarding the revised dates and procedures.
