IISER 2026 Round 2 Seat Allotment Result OUT LIVE Updates: Know the Last Date to Submit Seat Acceptance Fee

The Joint Admissions Committee (JAC), hosted by IISER Berhampur, has officially declared the IISER Aptitude Test (IAT) 2026 Round 2 Seat Allotment Result. Candidates who appeared for the IISER Aptitude Test counselling can now access their seat allotment status, download their official offer letter, and lock in their choices through the candidate portal at iiseradmission.in.

With the release of the Round 2 allotment list, short-listed candidates must submit their willingness decision—either to Freeze or Float their allotted seat—and complete the Seat Acceptance Fee (SAF) payment online. Failure to complete the fee payment within the stipulated deadline will result in automatic cancellation of the seat offer, and candidates will be disqualified from subsequent counselling rounds.

IISER 2026 Counselling: Round 2 Schedule & Key Deadlines

Candidates offered seats in the second allocation round must strictly adhere to the schedule announced by the Joint Admissions Committee. Below are the crucial dates to note:

Event Date & Time
Round 2 Seat Allotment Result Declaration August 1, 2026 (5:00 PM IST)
Last Date to Pay Seat Acceptance Fee (SAF) & Submit Willingness August 5, 2026 (up to 5:00 PM IST)
Round 3 Seat Allotment Result Declaration August 10, 2026 (5:00 PM IST)

IISER Seat Acceptance Fee (SAF) Structure

To hold an allocated seat across any of the participating IISER campuses (including IISER Pune, IISER Kolkata, IISER Mohali, IISER Bhopal, IISER Thiruvananthapuram, IISER Tirupati, and IISER Berhampur), candidates must deposit the non-refundable and refundable SAF combination online.

The fee structure vary according to the applicant’s category:

  • General, EWS, OBC, OBC-NCL, PwD, and Kashmiri Migrants (KM): ₹35,000 (This includes ₹25,000 tuition/seat fee deposit + ₹10,000 non-refundable administrative processing fee).

  • SC and ST Candidates: ₹17,500 (This includes ₹12,500 tuition/seat fee deposit + ₹5,000 non-refundable administrative processing fee).

Note: The Seat Acceptance Fee will be adjusted against the first semester’s overall fee structure upon physical registration at the allotted institute. Accepted online payment modes include Net Banking, Credit/Debit Cards, and UPI via the official portal.

Understanding ‘Freeze’ vs. ‘Float’ Options

While submitting their willingness form, candidates must carefully select between two crucial options on the decision-making portal:

  1. Freeze Option: Candidates satisfied with their assigned IISER campus and 5-Year BS-MS / BTech programme should select ‘Freeze’. This confirms acceptance and locks the seat permanently, removing the applicant from further seat upgradation in Round 3 or subsequent rounds.

  2. Float Option: Candidates who want to secure their current seat offer but remain eligible for a higher-preference institute or course in Round 3 must choose ‘Float’. To exercise this option, paying the full SAF before the August 5, 2026 deadline is mandatory.
