1. Auto Freeze / Self Freeze
-
Auto Freeze: If a candidate is allotted a seat according to their first preference, the seat is automatically frozen (Auto-Freeze). Such candidates cannot participate in subsequent CAP rounds and must accept the seat online, pay the seat acceptance fee, and report to the institute to confirm admission.
-
Self Freeze: Candidates who are allotted a seat other than their first preference but are completely satisfied with it can manually opt for Freeze. By doing so, they accept the seat, pay the fee, and confirm their admission at the allotted institute without participating in further rounds.
2. Not Freeze (Betterment Option)
-
Candidates who are allotted a seat other than their first preference but wish to seek a higher choice in CAP Round 2 must select the Not Freeze option.
-
