Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam Technical University (AKTU) is declaring the UPTAC 2026 Round 4 seat allotment result today, August 3, 2026. Candidates who registered for Uttar Pradesh Technical Admission Counselling for B.Tech, B.Des, and Integrated M.Tech programmes can check their allotment status directly on the official portal at uptac.samarth.edu.in.

This round marks a crucial phase in the state-level engineering admission process, as seats allotted in Round 4 carry distinct operational rules compared to earlier counselling rounds.

UPTAC 2026 Round 4: Key Schedule and Highlights

According to the official schedule released by AKTU, candidates must adhere to tight deadlines following the publication of the Round 4 results:

Event Date / Timeline
Round 4 Seat Allotment Declaration August 3, 2026
Payment of Seat Confirmation Fee August 4 to August 7, 2026
Physical Reporting at Allotted Institute August 4 to August 7, 2026
Online Seat Withdrawal (Round 4) August 4 to August 7, 2026
Online Willingness for Internal Sliding August 4 to August 7, 2026

Important Rule: Automatic Freezing in Round 4

Candidates participating in UPTAC Round 4 must take note of a major rule change: there is no option to choose between Freeze and Float in this round.

Unlike Rounds 1 through 3, where candidates could float their seat to upgrade in subsequent rounds, any seat allocated during Round 4 is automatically frozen. Applicants who secure a fresh seat or retain an upgraded seat must complete the payment of the seat acceptance fee and complete physical reporting at their respective institutes between August 4 and August 7, 2026. Failure to pay the confirmation fee will result in immediate seat cancellation and disqualification from the counselling process.

  • SC / ST Category: ₹12,000

Candidates who have already submitted the seat confirmation fee in previous rounds are not required to pay again unless additional branch-specific balance fees apply.
