How to Check Your WBJEE Round 2 Seat Allotment Status?

Checking your result online is straightforward. Follow these step-by-step instructions:

1. Visit the Official Website:

Navigate to the WBJEEB portal at wbjeeb.nic.in and click on the WBJEE section.

2. Locate the Link:

Under the Candidate Activity Board, click on the active link titled “WBJEE 2026 Round 2 Seat Allotment Result”.

3. Enter Login Credentials:

Provide your WBJEE Application Roll Number, Password, and the visible Security PIN.

4. View Allotment & Download Letter:

Once logged in, view your assigned institute, course, and category details. If allotted a seat, download and save a copy of the Provisional Seat Allotment Letter.

Next Steps: Understanding Your Options

After checking your status, you fall into one of three main categories. Here is what you need to do depending on your situation:

1. Fresh Allottees (Got a Seat for the First Time in Round 2)

  • Seat Acceptance Fee: You must pay a non-refundable seat acceptance fee online (typically โ‚น5,000) through the candidate portal to lock or upgrade the seat.

  • Freeze vs. Upgrade Choice:

    • Select Freeze if you are completely satisfied with the course and college.

    • Select Upgrade if you want to keep this seat as a safety net while competing for a higher-preference choice in Round 3.

  • Physical Reporting: You must physically visit the allotted college by July 23, 2026, along with all required original documents for physical verification.

Important Warning: Failing to pay the seat acceptance fee or missing physical document verification by July 23 will lead to the automatic cancellation of your allotted seat.

2. Upgraded Candidates (Upgraded from Round 1)

  • If your choice was upgraded from your Round 1 seat, download the new Provisional Allotment Letter.

  • You do not need to pay the seat acceptance fee again if you paid it during Round 1.

  • Report to the newly allotted college by July 23 for document verification and complete the admission formalities. Your earlier seat automatically stands cancelled and is offered to another student.

3. Candidates with No Seat Allotment

  • If you did not receive an allotment in Round 2, do not panic. You can participate in Round 3 (Mop-Up Round).

  • Round 3 fresh registration and choice filling will run from July 24 to July 26, 2026.

Mandatory Documents for Physical Verification

When reporting to your allotted college, carry original documents along with at least two sets of self-attested photocopies:

  • WBJEE 2026 Admit Card and Rank Card

  • Provisional Seat Allotment Letter

  • Class 10 Admit Card or Birth Certificate (Proof of Age)

  • Class 10 and Class 12 Marksheet & Passing Certificates

  • WB Domicile Certificate (if applicable)

  • Category Certificate (SC/ST/OBC-A/OBC-B/PwD), if applicable

  • Income Certificate (for TFW candidates)

  • Passport-sized photographs

What Lies Ahead: Round 3 (Mop-Up Round)

For candidates looking for a final chance to switch colleges or grab a seat, the Round 3 process begins immediately after the Round 2 reporting window closes.

WBJEEB is expected to release a list of vacant seats post-Round 2 admissions. Use this seat matrix to carefully re-arrange your preferences during the July 24โ€“26 registration window. The Round 3 result will be declared on July 28, 2026.
