APSC JE Electrical: Download hall ticket from Oct 26 for Nov 1 exam

The Assam Public Service Commission (APSC) has announced the detailed examination schedule for the recruitment of Junior Engineer (Electrical) posts within the Public Works (Building & NH) Department. The written examination is slated for November 01, 2026, and will be held at various centres across the state of Assam.

This recruitment drive, initiated under Advertisement No. 03/2026 dated May 5, 2026, aims to fill Junior Engineer (Electrical) positions. The latest examination schedule was issued via Memo No. 54PSC/DR-6/10/2025-26 on September 25, 2026, providing crucial dates for applicants.

Examination Schedule and Hall Ticket Details

The APSC will conduct the screening test in an OMR-based mode on November 01, 2026. The examination will be split into two shifts: Electrical Engineering (Paper I) from 10:00 AM to 12:00 Noon, and General Studies (Paper II) from 1:30 PM to 3:30 PM. Each paper will have a duration of two hours.

Candidates will be able to download their e-Admission Certificates (hall tickets) from October 26, 2026, onwards, using their login credentials on the official APSC website, apsc.nic.in. The commission has stated that hall tickets will not be sent by post. The list of candidates eligible for the screening test will be released earlier, on October 13, 2026.

Eligibility Criteria and Application Process

The online application window for these posts was open from May 11, 2026, to June 10, 2026. Applicants were required to be Indian citizens and permanent residents of Assam, possessing a valid Permanent Resident Certificate (PRC) or an Employment Exchange Registration Certificate.

Candidates must hold a three-year regular diploma in Electrical Engineering from an AICTE recognized institute; diplomas obtained through distance mode are not accepted. The age limit for applicants was set between 18 and 40 years as on January 1, 2026. The APSC reserves the right to cancel a candidate’s candidature at any stage if the eligibility conditions are not met.

Instructions for Pwbd Candidates and Exam Day

Candidates with Disabilities (PwBD) who require a scribe for the examination must submit their application by October 16, 2026. It is mandatory for all candidates to download and carry a printed hard copy of their e-Admission Certificate along with a valid original photo identification to the examination center on the day of the test.

The selection process for the Junior Engineer (Electrical) posts includes a written exam/screening test, followed by an interview, and document verification. The screening test is OMR-based, as per the commission’s guidelines.
