CG Vyapam Lecturer recruitment 2026: apply for 854 posts by October 26

The Directorate of Public Instruction, Chhattisgarh, has initiated the recruitment process for 854 Lecturer (Vyakhyaata) posts within the Chhattisgarh School Education Department. The online application window for these positions, spanning both E and T cadres, opened on September 29, 2026.

Prospective candidates, who must be local residents of Chhattisgarh, have until October 26, 2026, to submit their applications through the official Chhattisgarh Staff Selection Board (CGSSB) portal. This recruitment drive aims to fill a substantial number of teaching positions across the state.

Application Process and Key Dates

The application period for the Lecturer posts began on September 29, 2026, following the issuance of Advertisement No. ESTB-101/207/2025/176. Candidates are required to complete their online applications on the official CGSSB portal, cgssb.cgstate.gov.in, by 5 pm on October 26, 2026. Following the application deadline, a correction window will be available for applicants to modify their submissions between October 27 and October 29, 2026.

Admit cards for the written examination are scheduled for release on November 23, 2026. The examination itself will be conducted on November 29, 2026, from 10 am to 12:15 pm, across five divisional headquarters in Chhattisgarh. Successful candidates in the written examination will proceed to subsequent stages, including document verification and a medical examination.

Eligibility Criteria and Selection Stages

To be eligible for the Lecturer (Vyakhyaata) posts, applicants must hold a relevant postgraduate degree with a second division and a B.Ed. qualification. A crucial requirement is that candidates must be local residents of Chhattisgarh. The age limit for applicants is set between 21 and 35 years as on January 1, 2026, with age relaxation applicable as per government rules.

The selection process involves multiple stages. After the written examination, candidates who qualify will undergo document verification. The final stage includes a medical examination, which will be conducted by the District Medical Board to assess the fitness of the shortlisted candidates. The pay scale for these posts is Pay Matrix Level-09.
