Eligibility Criteria and Vacancies

To be eligible for the MTS posts, candidates must have passed SSC/10th Class/Matriculation or an equivalent examination from a recognized board. While passing Intermediate/Class 12th is desirable, it is not an essential requirement. The maximum age limit for applicants is 25 years as of November 4, 2026. Age relaxation is applicable as per CSIR and Government of India guidelines, with OBC candidates receiving a 3-year relaxation and SC/ST candidates a 5-year relaxation.

A total of 24 provisional vacancies are available across various categories. One post out of these 24 is horizontally reserved for Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD) under the Hard of Hearing (HH) category. Application Fees and Emoluments

An application fee of ₹500 is mandated for candidates belonging to the UR, OBC, and EWS categories. However, women, SC, ST, PwBD, and Ex-Servicemen candidates are exempt from paying this fee. The fee can be paid online through various methods including RuPay Debit Card, Credit/Prepaid Card, Net Banking, UPI, Wallets, NEFT, or SBI Branch Payment.

The pay scale for the MTS positions is Pay Level-01, ranging from ₹18,000 to ₹56,900. The approximate total monthly emoluments for these posts are around ₹40,000, which includes allowances applicable at Pune. The job profile for MTS includes tasks such as physical maintenance of records, general cleanliness, carrying files, photocopying, delivering mail, opening/closing offices, dusting furniture, and preparing tea/coffee.

Selection Process and Required Documents

The selection process for the MTS posts will involve a Competitive Written Examination, followed by Document Verification. The written examination will be an objective-type multiple-choice test, conducted in both English and Hindi (except for the English Language section). The examination will be at a 10th Class level, comprising 150 questions to be completed within 2 hours (120 minutes).
