NIFT 2026 Round 2 Willingness Submission & Fee Payment Window Closing Soon

NIFT 2026 Round 2 Willingness Submission & Fee Payment Window Closing Soon @nift.ac.in/admission

The National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT) is closing the window for Round 2 seat allotment willingness submission and admission fee payment today, July 9, 2026. Candidates who were allotted seats in the second round of e-counselling must complete their admission formalities by 12:00 Midnight to secure their seats.

If you have been allocated a seat for an undergraduate (UG) or postgraduate (PG) program, you need to log into the official counselling portal at nift.admissions.nic.in or navigate through nift.ac.in/admission to complete the process. Failing to submit your option or complete the fee payment before the midnight deadline will result in the automatic cancellation of your allotted seat.

NIFT 2026 Round 2 Counselling: Important Deadlines

To ensure you do not miss any critical deadlines, keep track of the remaining schedule for the second round of seat allocation:

Event Date & Deadline
Round 2 Seat Allotment Result Declaration July 7, 2026 (Released)
Willingness Submission Deadline July 9, 2026 (Up to 12:00 Midnight)
Admission Fee Payment Deadline July 9, 2026 (Up to 12:00 Midnight)
Seat Withdrawal Window Closing July 9, 2026 (Up to 12:00 Midnight)

Action Plan After NIFT Round 2 Seat Allotment

Candidates who received a seat assignment in this round must pick one of three options based on their preference:

  • Freeze: Select this option if you are completely satisfied with the allotted campus and course. Choosing “Freeze” means you accept the seat and do not wish to participate in subsequent rounds of counselling.

  • Float: Select this option if you want to accept the currently allotted seat but wish to remain eligible for an upgraded seat (better campus or course preference) in Round 3.

  • Withdrawal: If you no longer wish to continue with the NIFT 2026 admission process, you must submit a seat withdrawal request through the portal by midnight tonight to receive a refund according to official guidelines.

Crucial Warning: If you are allotted a fresh seat in Round 2 and do not choose a willingness option or fail to pay the required seat acceptance fee, your allocation will be permanently cancelled. The seat will then be moved to the vacant seat pool for Round 3.

How to Complete Your NIFT Round 2 Formalities?

Follow these simple steps to ensure your admission process goes smoothly:

1. Log in to the Portal:

Visit the official NIFT e-counselling website at nift.admissions.nic.in. Enter your registered application number and password to log in.

2. Check Allotment Status:

Navigate to the ‘Round 2 Seat Allotment Result’ tab to view your allotted course and campus. Download your provisional allotment letter.

3. Submit Your Willingness:

Select your desired option—either Freeze or Float—to declare how you wish to proceed with the seat.

4. Pay the Admission Fee:

Proceed to the payment gateway and pay the required seat acceptance fee online using a credit card, debit card, or net banking before the midnight deadline.

What Lies Ahead: NIFT Round 3 Counselling Schedule
