These announcements were made at the CM Youth Conclave-2026, held at Lal Parade Ground in Bhopal, where the Chief Minister interacted with young people and sought suggestions for ‘Youth Year 2027’.
The measures are part of the state government’s ongoing efforts to enhance employment opportunities and foster self-reliance among the youth. The initiatives are expected to impact a large number of students preparing for competitive examinations and those engaged in research and innovation across Madhya Pradesh.
Free Coaching and Enhanced Research Scholarships
Chief Minister Mohan Yadav stated that the Madhya Pradesh government will provide free coaching for competitive examination preparation in government colleges across all districts of the state. This initiative aims to make quality preparation accessible to a wider section of students, particularly those in remote areas.
In a move to support academic research, the monthly scholarship for research scholars will be increased from the current Rs 16,000 to Rs 25,000. This increment is intended to encourage more students to pursue research and contribute to various fields of study. “The Madhya Pradesh government will provide free coaching for competitive examination preparation in government colleges in all the districts across the state. The scholarship given to research scholars will be increased from Rs 16,000 to Rs 25,000 per month,” CM Yadav said.
Technological Development and Innovation Fund
The state government also announced plans to establish modern Artificial Intelligence (AI) and advanced computing labs in government colleges. This step is aimed at equipping students with skills relevant to emerging technologies and preparing them for future job markets. Alongside this, a Rs 5-crore Idea Fund will be formed at the state level to encourage innovation and startup ideas among the youth, providing financial support for promising ventures.

MPPSC Examination Frequency and ‘Youth Year 2027’
To provide more opportunities for young people to appear in competitive examinations, the Madhya Pradesh Public Service Commission (MPPSC) examination will now be conducted twice a year. This change is expected to reduce the waiting period for aspirants and offer more chances to qualify for government posts.
The Chief Minister also declared that the year 2027 will be celebrated as ‘Youth Year’ in Madhya Pradesh. The CM Youth Conclave-2026 was specifically organized to seek suggestions from young people for the upcoming ‘Youth Year 2027’. The ‘Youth Year’ aims to provide greater opportunities for young people through employment-oriented courses and help them move towards self-reliance. “Madhya Pradesh is a youth state, and our government is continuously working to provide better employment opportunities to the youth. Recruitment to government posts is being carried out in the state. The year 2027 will be celebrated as ‘Youth Year’, and to provide more opportunities to young people to appear in competitive examinations, the PSC examination will be conducted twice a year,” CM Yadav added.
Inauguration of Cm Youth Conclave and Innovation Challenge
Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav inaugurated the CM Youth Conclave-2026 on October 6, 2026, at Lal Parade Ground in Bhopal. During the event, registration for the ‘Madhya Pradesh-Seva First-Innovation Challenge’ was launched under the Seva Sankalp Abhiyan-2026. The Chief Minister also visited a special exhibition that showed various initiatives related to higher education and technological development within the state.
The CM Youth Conclave-2026 served as a platform for Chief Minister Yadav to interact directly with young people and solicit suggestions for the upcoming ‘Youth Year 2027’. The state government has indicated that various departments are actively working towards implementing several decisions made in the interest of students and youth.
