MPPSC Examination and Skill Development
Chief Minister Mohan Yadav confirmed that the MPPSC examination will transition to a twice-yearly schedule from 2027. This decision follows previous protests and controversies surrounding the examination process. On top of the regular MPPSC examinations, separate employment-oriented examinations will also be conducted.
The state government plans to establish 12 new skill universities, which will offer employment-oriented courses. In addition, one lakh youths are targeted for enrolment in skill-enhancement programmes. Free coaching for competitive examinations will be made available through government colleges in every district of Madhya Pradesh, aiming to provide wider access to preparation resources for aspiring candidates.

The state government is set to establish 12 new medical colleges across Madhya Pradesh, with a goal to open one medical college every month. This expansion aims to significantly increase the availability of medical education within the state.
Support for research activities is also being enhanced. The monthly scholarship for research scholars will increase from Rs 16,000 to Rs 25,000. Government colleges are slated to receive Artificial Intelligence (AI) and advanced computing laboratories to bolster technological education and research.
Innovation, Entrepreneurship, and Employment Generation
To foster innovation and support startup ideas among young people, an Idea Fund with a corpus of Rs 5 crore will be established at the state level. The government is already providing grants of up to Rs 5 lakh to promote startups. An Investor Meet is planned for 2027 to help generate further employment opportunities.
Ongoing initiatives include building ‘AI City’ in Bhopal and ‘Knowledge MP’.
