How to Check Your KCET Round 1 Seat Allotment Result?

The portal experiences heavy traffic, so candidates are advised to use stable internet connections or view the desktop version if using mobile browsers. Follow these simple steps:

  1. Visit the official portal: Go to cetonline.karnataka.gov.in/kea/ or kea.kar.nic.in.

  2. Find the link: Under the “Latest Announcements” tab, click on the “KCET 2026 Round 1 Final Seat Allotment Result” link.

  3. Log in: Enter your unique Karnataka CET Number.

  4. View Status: Click on ‘Submit’. Your allotted college, engineering/professional branch, and category details will appear on the screen.

  5. Download: Save a digital PDF backup and print a few copies for physical verification.

Understanding the Post-Allotment Windows: Your 4 Choices

Now that the post-allotment choices are active, every student who has been allotted a seat must pick one of the four options on their dashboard. Failing to select a choice within the deadline will result in the automated cancellation of your allotted seat.

  • Choice 1: Satisfied and Confirming

You love the college and branch you received. You choose to freeze this seat, pay the tuition fees online, download the formal KEA admission order, and proceed to report to the college physically. You will not participate in subsequent rounds.

  • Choice 2: Accepting but Upgrading

You are okay with the current seat but want to see if you can get a higher preference in Round 2. You pay the seat acceptance fee to block this seat safely. If you get a better college in Round 2, this seat is released; if not, you retain this Round 1 seat.

  • Choice 3: Rejecting but Competing

You are completely dissatisfied with the current allotment but still want to stay in the KCET counseling pool. You reject the allotted seat (it goes back into the system) and move directly to Round 2 to try your luck with your remaining preferences.

  • Choice 4: Exiting Counseling

You do not want the allotted seat and wish to drop out of the KCET 2026 counseling process entirely.

Fee Payment and Mandatory Documents

For Choice 1 and Choice 2 candidates, the KEA payment gateway is functional, accepting Net Banking, Credit/Debit cards, and e-challans.

Important Note: When reporting to your designated campus, you must carry the original documents along with multiple photocopies. Keep your KCET 2026 Rank Card, Seat Allotment Letter, Fee Receipt, SSLC (Class 10) Marks Card, 2nd PUC (Class 12) Marks Card, and Caste/Income verification slips ready. Keep a close eye on the KEA portal for further circulars regarding individual college reporting timelines.
