The Consortium of Medical, Engineering, and Dental Colleges of Karnataka (COMEDK) has officially updated the counselling timeline for B.Tech admissions across Karnataka.

As per the revised notification published on the official website (comedk.org), the Round 1 Seat Allotment result will now be declared on July 28, 2026, at 3:00 PM. Candidates who registered and participated in the choice-filling round can check their seat status through their applicant login portal.

The schedule adjustment gives students additional time to modify their college and course selections, ensuring they make well-informed choices before final seat locking.

Key Stats & What Happens After Seat Allotment?

Once the allotment result goes live on July 28, every allotted candidate must choose one of the available decision-making paths by July 31, 2026:

  1. Accept & Freeze: You are satisfied with the seat, pay the full tuition fee online, and prepare to report physically to the college by August 3.

  2. Accept & Upgrade: You secure the current seat by paying the fee but opt to participate in Round 2 for higher preference options.

  3. Reject & Upgrade: You decline the allotted seat and proceed to Round 2 to try for better preferences.

  4. Reject & Withdraw: You decline the seat and exit the counselling process completely.

Important Warning: Candidates who choose “Accept & Freeze” must strictly report to the designated college on or before August 3, 2026 (12:00 PM). Failing to report within the stipulated deadline will lead to automatic cancellation of the seat.
