BITSAT 2026 Iteration IV Result (Live Updates): Seat Allotment, Key Dates, and Next Steps

The Birla Institute of Technology and Science (BITS), Pilani is releasing the much-anticipated BITSAT 2026 Iteration IV seat allotment results on its official admission portal (admissions.bits-pilani.ac.in).

For thousands of engineering aspirants across India, Iteration 4 is a critical milestone. Occurring right after the second withdrawal window, this round opens up significant movement on both the seat allotment lists and the waitlist as candidates finalize their college choices between IITs, NITs, and BITS.

Here is everything you need to know about checking your result, understanding your allotment status, key dates, and what steps to take next.

How to Check Your BITSAT 2026 Iteration 4 Allotment Status

To view your result, follow these simple steps on the official portal:

  1. Visit the Portal: Go to the official BITS admission website at admissions.bits-pilani.ac.in.

  2. Locate the Link: Click on the active link labeled “Iteration IV Seat Allotment Result”.

  3. Log In: Enter your BITSAT 2026 Application Number and Password (or use the fresh credentials sent to your registered email).

  4. View Status: Your dashboard will display your seat assignment across the Pilani, Goa, or Hyderabad campuses, or your current position on the waitlist.

  5. Download Offer Letter: If you have been allotted a seat or an upgraded preference, download and save your allotment letter for physical reporting.

Important Timeline & Upcoming Schedule

If you receive a fresh allotment or an upgraded branch, you must strictly follow the post-allotment schedule. Failing to meet the payment or reporting deadlines will result in the automatic cancellation of your offer.

Event Official Date
Iteration IV Allotment Result July 22, 2026
Fee Payment Deadline (Acceptance / Advance) July 25, 2026 (5:00 PM IST)
Physical Reporting at Allotted Campus July 28 – July 30, 2026
First-Year Student Orientation July 31, 2026
Registration & Iteration V Result August 1, 2026
First Semester Classes Begin August 2, 2026

What Seat Allotment Actions Mean for You

Depending on your status in Iteration 4, here is how you should proceed:

1. Fresh Allotment (First Time Allottees)

If you are receiving a seat offer for the first time in Iteration IV, you must log into the portal, click Accept Seat, and pay the required admission/advance fee by July 25, 2026. If you do not pay the fee by the deadline, your allotted seat will be forfeited, and you will be completely removed from future counselling iterations.

2. Upgraded Preferences (Slide/Float)

For candidates who were already offered a seat in Iterations 1–3 and kept their preferences open, Iteration 4 may bring an automatic upgrade to a higher-ranked preference (e.g., moving from EEE at Goa to ECE at Pilani).

  • If upgraded, your previously held seat is automatically released to another student, and your new branch/campus is secured.

  • If no upgrade occurs, your existing seat remains completely safe.

3. Wait-Listed Candidates

If you have not been allotted a seat yet, your status will indicate that you remain on the waitlist. Because class registrations begin in early August, seat vacant positions often clear up in subsequent rounds (Iterations 5, 6, and 7) after physical reporting reveals non-reporting candidates.

Expected Cutoff & Seat Movement Trends

Because BITS Pilani does not follow caste-based reservation policies, all seat allotments are purely merit-based using raw BITSAT scores out of 390.

Historically, score cutoffs drop by around 2 to 5 marks between Iteration III and Iteration IV as students withdraw after securing confirmed seats through JoSAA (IITs/NITs) or state engineering admissions.

Expected Closing Score Ranges for Major Branches:

  • BITS Pilani: Computer Science (345–370) | ECE (330–345) | EEE (320–335)

  • BITS Goa: Computer Science (340–355) | ECE (300–315) | EEE (290–305)

  • BITS Hyderabad: Computer Science (335–350) | ECE (290–305) | EEE (280–295)

(Note: Official final cutoffs are released by BITS Pilani only after all iteration rounds are completed.)

Campus Reporting Checklist (July 28–30)

Students who confirm their seat acceptance in Iteration IV must physically report to their designated campus (Pilani, Goa, or Hyderabad) between July 28 and July 30, 2026. You will need to bring original copies alongside self-attested photocopies of the following documents:

  • BITSAT 2026 Scorecard & Seat Allotment Letter

  • Class 10th & Class 12th Original Marksheet & Passing Certificates

  • School Leaving / Transfer Certificate (TC) & Migration Certificate

  • Government-issued Photo ID (Aadhaar Card, Passport, etc.)

  • Passport-size Photographs & Fee Payment Proof receipts

Make sure to log in immediately to verify your seat assignment and pay any required balance before the July 25 deadline.
