IMU CET Round 2 Seat Allotment Result 2026 Released: Third List Out Soon at imu.edu.in

The Indian Maritime University (IMU) has officially announced the IMU CET 2026 Round 2 seat allotment results on its official portal. Candidates who registered for the centralized online counselling process can now log in to check their status.

This latest announcement marks a crucial phase for students seeking admission into prestigious undergraduate (B.Tech, B.Sc, DNS) and postgraduate (MBA, M.Tech) marine programs across IMU’s six primary campuses and affiliated colleges. With the Second List out, the university is moving rapidly toward finishing the admission cycle, and the Third Allotment List is expected to follow shortly.

IMU CET 2026 Counselling: Important Dates

If you have been allotted a seat in this round, you must act quickly. The university operates on a tight schedule, and missing a deadline will result in your seat being cancelled. Below are the key dates you need to remember:

Admission Event Important Dates (2026)
Round 2 Seat Allotment Announcement July 13, 2026
Last Date to Pay Programme Fee (Online) July 16, 2026 (until 12:00 PM)
Physical Document Verification at Campus July 22 to July 24, 2026
Release of Third Seat Allotment List Late July 2026 (after Round 2 verification)
Commencement of Academic Classes August 1, 2026

Step-by-Step Guide to Check Your Seat Allotment

Candidates can check their allotment results using the official online portal. Follow these simple steps to access your result:

  1. Visit the official Indian Maritime University portal at imu.edu.in or navigate directly to the admission link.

  2. Click on the link designated for “Second Admission Lists for AY 2026-27”.

  3. Log into your dashboard using your CET Application Number and Password.

  4. Your seat allotment status and provisional letter will appear on your screen.

  5. Download and save a copy of your allotment letter for your physical reporting.

What to Do Next? (Action Plan for Selected Candidates)

Getting allotted a seat is only the first step. To lock it in, you must complete the following mandatory procedures:

1. Pay the Programme Fee

To accept your seat, you must pay a non-refundable Programme Fee of Rs. 30,000 online. This payment must be completed before July 16, 2026 (12:00 PM). If you fail to make the payment by this deadline, you will lose your claim on the seat, and it will be passed on to waitlisted candidates in the next round.

2. Choose Float or Freeze

  • Freeze (No): Choose this if you are completely satisfied with your current allotment and do not want to be considered for further upgrades.

  • Float (Yes): Choose this if you want to accept your current seat but remain open to getting upgraded to a higher-preference course or campus in the upcoming Third List.

Essential Documents for Campus Verification

Once your online fee is paid, you must report physically to your allotted IMU campus between July 22 and July 24, 2026, for document and certificate verification. Ensure you carry the original copies of these essential documents along with photocopies:

  • Official IMU CET 2026 Rank Certificate and Online Admit Card.

  • Class 10 and Class 12 Marksheets and Passing Certificates.

  • Provisional Seat Allotment Letter and Online Fee Receipt.

  • Category Certificate (SC/ST/OBC-NCL/EWS, if applicable).

  • A Physical Fitness Certificate issued by a registered, DGS-approved medical practitioner.

IMU CET 2026 Third List & Spot Counselling

If you did not receive an allotment in Round 2, do not lose hope. The Third Seat Allotment List is scheduled to be released in late July 2026, right after the Round 2 physical verification process concludes.

Furthermore, if seats still remain vacant after the third round, IMU will host Spot Counselling Rounds. Registration for Spot Round 1 is expected to begin in late July, followed by Spot Round 2 in August 2026.

For any official technical queries or issues regarding seat allotment, you can reach out directly to the helpdesk at counsel26@imu.ac.in. Always mention your CET Application Number and Rank in the email.
