The West Bengal Joint Entrance Examinations Board (WBJEEB) commenced Phase 2 registration for the Decentralised Counselling Admission Process (DCAP) 2026 on September 16, 2026, according to a FindMyCollege notification. This process supports admissions into undergraduate courses in Engineering & Technology, Pharmacy, and Architecture for the academic session 2026-27 across West Bengal.

The decentralised counselling offers a total of 36,491 seats, comprising 33,857 in engineering and architecture, and 2,634 in pharmacy. Candidates with a valid WBJEE merit rank, Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main rank, or merit based on their Class 12 qualifying examination are eligible to participate.

All candidates participating in the decentralised counselling are required to pay a one-time registration fee of Rs 250. Eligibility and Choice Filling
Candidates who previously participated in the regular WBJEE counselling 2026 and secured a seat are also eligible to apply for decentralised counselling. However, if a candidate has already taken admission to a specific college for a particular stream or discipline combination, they are not permitted to apply for the same combination again through decentralised counselling, if you look at bestcolleges.indiatoday.in.
During the counselling process, candidates have the flexibility to submit both new and previously selected choices. choices can only be added, removed, or changed during the notified ‘Active Window’ for the respective phase of counselling. The WBJEE-2026 examination was conducted on May 24, 2026, with online registration for the exam taking place from March 10, 2026, to April 8, 2026.
